Maybe Adam was born on the good side, still it is unfair to say he had "free will" to choose to sin. He had no knowledge about what sin is. Even if god "specifically" told him not to sin, it still doesn't make any sense about what "free will" is. If god kicked the man in a bucket of excrement, then when god says:"you have free will to get out of this bucket of excrement", it sound so sadistic and outright unfair. Why weren't we born in some kind of neutral territory, THEN we have to choose betwwen sin/good. It seems to me that a lot of religous are still in excrement up to their chest and head down, and still believe they are out of the bucket just because they say:"God says...", "Because God..." or bibel-verse-cut-and-paste.

I used to think it was unfair as well. However, if you look at it, how could an imperfect pair of humans raise their children, even if born in neutral territory, to be perfect, when they themselves have already missed the mark? Also, If Adam and Eve had their children after sinning, this means that their ability to die, as God did warn Adam, was passed onto their children, now (Genesis 2:16, 17). So, there is no way, that we can avoid being born into sin, much like children of people who have hereditary diseases or genetic weaknesses cannot escape the fact that they will have it, too. It is not a case of being fair or unfair, but a case of the natural laws of life that were instituted from the very day God created life on Earth.

Well, we don't HAVE to like something to agree that THAT is the way it is. I understand and agree, but it doesn't change the facts, and the facts are, even tho Adam HAD YEARS alone to explore the world and ASK QUESTIONS, HE FAILED TOO! It just proves, even perfect men aren't necessarily the wisest. Also, while Eve, "was led astray," SHE KNEW the truth and could have simply called out to God for direction at any time. The truth is, SHE WANTED to be led astray AND BECOME LIKE GOD, knowing good and evil.

Adam, however was a whole other ballgame. HE KNEW what he was doing was a total no-no. In fact, he was simply afraid to go on "without Eve." So he willingly partook simply out of love and to stay "with her." Which he did, for the rest of his life.

I don't know what your experience has been with God but you seem very bitter. I am not one to push my views on anyone, but, I do know that whatever bucket of excrement my head has been shoved in was of my own doing. I don't have anyone to blame including God. I blame myself. I read my Bible and try very hard to apply it to my life everyday. I am a better person for it. So if that's all it does for me then I guess it was worth something.

I think the whole unfair, adam / sin thing is to teach us about learning to appreciate what you have got, because life can be unfair and it can all be gone in an instant.

Yes but we are all saved through Jesus when we ask for forgiveness for our sins and believe that Jesus died on the cross for our sins.

Fair has nothing to do with it.

Is it fair? Nope. Does it matter that it isn't fair? Nope.
