"Faith and beliefs are not scientific principles" just reasons to be intolerant and ignorant of views outside of your blinkered point of view.

If you mean faith and belief in a religious way, and I think you do, than the list is very long.
They are excuses for absolutely EVERYTHING: an universal excuse, if you like, for the most disguisting and evil deeds humans ever did. From serious things like hurting, killing and destroying to stopping progress, science and art ("Art raises its head when religion relax their hold", said Nietzsche).
People are afraid of the obvious: that we are strong, intelligent beautiful creatures and that the universe, nature and life are magic, perfection and chaos, beauty and happyness in one. They should belive in themselves, have faith in people alone, give lots of love to everyone and be happy all the time.
There is no need for religion (there WAS maybe when people lived in caves, but it should have stayed on the same level as mythology- that whould have solved a lot of problems of our civilisation on it's very start)- our mind power is enough, love is enough, excepting the time-and-space universe, celebrating life (time) and understanding nature (space)...
And, yeah, you know how all the religions are always saying things like "love" and "peace"? But they have done nothing else than ban all the love, hide all the feelings, terminate all joy and happyness (you may know it as "sins") killed people even, spread hate, death and destruction. And there is always that concept of "hating-the-other-guy-and-kiling-him-cause-he-doesn't-think-like-me" and the infamous "KILLING IN THE NAME OF..." (fill in the blank with some sensless concept a.k.a. 'religion') They don't know the meaning of word such as "love" and "peace". But there is one word all the religions are very well aware of- FEAR. As long as they can scare people into "believing" into something that doesn't exist just to have power to control them. It is sad that sometimes people do not know or feel they're being manipulated, and think it's their choice. Man, are they wrong- they're in the biggest sham of all times.
And to think of all the love being wasted on a non existant concept instead of spreading it on other people, our 'loved ones', maybe even art, science, all the beautiful and magnificent things in the universe.

faith is the excuse human beings supply to count on issues without qualified evidence. It has a tendency to come back from indoctrination without question, consisting of what faith, your moms and dads, relations, and others dictate to you once you're little. for sure, no longer each and every thing those human beings say is a pile of crap, yet you need to be able to imagine significantly about a topic and both trust it (no longer count on it! conception and faith are very diverse!), recognize it, or reject it. non secular those with faith both do no longer recognize the thanks to significantly study, do no longer choose to, or are merely pretending to be non secular for another reason.

God reveals, man observes. Faith and beliefs are not scientific principles which is subjects to proofs. Faith and belief is how man deal with his/her morality.
