I am going through the blue to green program so I am looking at diffrent options. I like the sound of the 31E (Corrections Officer) carrer field. Will I have to spend my whole carrer at Fort Leavenworth, KS or are there other post that I can be stationed at.

There are many other places you can go. I know there is a place in Korea, Ft. Louis, Ft. Sill, Germany, Guantanamo Bay, and Iraq. I am sure there are many more.

Best of luck to you...

**COUGH 0300** Not a bad feild choice youve chossen, **COUGH desk job** Altho there are more exciting jobs not to metion challenging *couch pencil pusher...** But in all relity, that is a very stressful job. Your not just dealing with violaters and prisoners, your dealing with other Marines, army personal, friends, military in general. (that means....) you could someone whose been a 10 year gunny (e-7) (sorry, not to sure of the equelit in army ranks) and he has to look up to you. Not the easiest job out there, defentily not for me (too much spelling on the paperwork....eerr...) But then again, I like the you point, I cover, field of work.

i did blue to green about 13 years ago, kudos. as a 31e you can go anywhere they house inmates, which is just about anywhere. be warned, i got abck from abu ghraib about 6 months ago. an incarcerated insurgent who believes alah will welcome him into heaven if he kills you is a real mo-fo. but on the other side of the coin, i think most states will hire you on as a civilian c.o. with just an orientation instead of going to the c.o. academy once you're done with the military.
