If you believed there was a bomb in a building and it was going to go off and the building was full of people, would you warn the people in the building or would you let them die because you didn't feel it was your responsibility to tell them?
According to Bible prophecy, God is going to bring an end to those who are in opposition to his sovereignty. Every one of us is given the choice of either showing that we WANT to live life according to God's will or we can live our lives showing that we don't want or need God.
Many people don't even know who God actually is or that he has a name. God's name, Jehovah, has been removed from the Bible nearly 7,000 times. In the earliest manuscripts of the Hebrew scriptures, it was written as 4 Hebrew letters, also known as the Tetragrammaton, which are the equivalent of our english letters - YHWH. Some pronounce it Yahweh. In english it's Jehovah. Either way, God has a name and although most modern versions of the Bible have removed it, there is no doubt that it belongs in the Bible since it was originally there nearly 7,000 times. In fact, if you look at some older Bible versions, check Psalms 83:18 or Exodus 6:3 and it will most likely be there.
People also don't often get clear answers on what the Bible actually teaches and basically the majority of people in the world don't realize that God has specific requirements (just as he did in Noah's day before the flood) for surviving what is referred to in the Bible as Armageddon.
As Christians, JWs are concerned for the wellbeing of our neighbors. Bible prophecy shows that God isn't going to allow all the badness in the world to continue. He's set a time to bring an end to those who do not want to live their lives in harmony with his purpose of having the earth become a paradise where people of all nationalities can live together peacefully without violence, without sickness, without death. That's what his purpose was when he created Adam and Eve and although they chose to be disobedient to the one thing he commanded them not to do, his purpose hasn't changed...it's just been delayed.
We go door to door for several reasons, one being because its what Jesus directed his followers to do. Another is that we truly do care about people and want to give them the opportunity to bring their lives in harmony with God's will so that they too can live forever in paradise. And still another is because if we didn't, we would bear the responsibility for you losing your life because you didn't know what you needed to know to gain life. After we've come to your door and you've slammed it in our face or chosen to not answer the door or any of the other number of rude things people do when we're there then we are not responsible for your life being lost. We've done our part to try to help you and you've chosen not to accept our help. We are not bloodguilty in God's eyes after that.
With regard to your question about our feelings toward other "Christians", we DO care about others, regardless of what your religion is. But the Bible teaches that we MUST bring our lives in harmony with God's standards. The various religions of the world basically have good qualities and people choose their religion based on either the traditions of their families or on having found one that agrees with their own ideas on how to worship God. The problem with that is that only God himself has the right to tell us how we should be worshipping him. He specificies in the Bible exactly how he wants to be worshipped. Certainly we can choose our own way of worshipping him...that's what the nation of Isreal did. In doing so, however, they angered God by their constant pollution of his requirements for worship by mixing their worship with the worship of the surrounding nations which God had strictly warned them not to do, they overlooked the Messiah they had been searching for in regarding to the prophecies God had provided them with, and they lost God's favor as his chosen people. Bottom line, God has requirements for worship and if your chosen religion doesn't meet those requirements or has ANY doctrines, teachings or idolitrous ceremonies with pagan origins then it doesn't meet GOD'S requirements for true worship.
I don't quite understand your question regarding the basing our faith on a doctrine 20x older than the faith we practice. Our faith is based on Christ's ransom sacrifice as the way to redemption from sin and death and the way to a righteous standing with Jehovah God. Though many people claim that we aren't Christians because we don't believe in the trinity doctrine (which, by the way, is a 4th century teaching with roots in Greek philosophy), we ARE Christians because the definition of a Christian is one who follows the teachings of Christ. We DO follow his teachings. Prior to that, Christianity was, of course, based on the Jewish faith which Christ himself became the fulfillment of.
Regarding evolution, we do not believe that life originated through a process of evolving from "primordial soup" or from one type of animal to another. The Bible teaches that all things were created in an order and specifically as they are.
As for science, certainly the whole universe is based on science. God himself put the laws of the universe in motion which would certainly mean he is the most intelligent scientist ever. :)
I'm not sure what you're talking about with regard to God residing in a star system. The only thing I recall God residing in is the heavens, but certainly if you want me to do more research on the matter, I'd be more than happy to do so.
Hope this answers at least some of your questions.

I find it very interesting that most ignorant people give & answer with out doing research, for instance, JW's have the only Bible that does not quote John 1:1 the same as the King James Bible.
These are just a few Bibles that also do not quote as the King James does, makes you wonder why, oh, well I know why.
Emphatic Diaglott reads: “In a beginning was the Word, and the Word was with the God, and a god was the Word.”
The New English Bible says: “And what God was, the Word was.” The Greek word translated “Word” is Lo´gos; and so Moffatt’s translation reads: “The Logos was divine.” The American Translation reads: “The Word was divine.” Other readings, by German translators, follow. By Böhmer: “It was tightly bound up with God, yes, itself of divine being.” By Stage: “The Word was itself of divine being.” By Menge: “And God (= of divine being) the Word was.” And by Thimme: “And God of a sort the Word was.” All these renderings highlight the quality of the Word, not his identity with his Father, the Almighty God. Being the Son of Jehovah God, he would have the divine quality, for divine means “godlike.”—Col 2:9;
other translations say something different. Some are as follows:
1808: “and the word was a god.” The New Testament, in an Improved Version, Upon the Basis of Archbishop Newcome’s New Translation: With a Corrected Text, London.
1864: “and a god was the Word.” The Emphatic Diaglott, by Benjamin Wilson, New York and London.
1935: “and the Word was divine.” The Bible—An American Translation, by J. M. P. Smith and E. J. Goodspeed, Chicago.
1935: “the Logos was divine.” A New Translation of the Bible, by James Moffatt, New York.
1975: “and a god (or, of a divine kind) was the Word.” Das Evangelium nach Johannes, by Siegfried Schulz, Göttingen, Germany.
1978: “and godlike sort was the Logos.” Das Evangelium nach Johannes, by Johannes Schneider, Berlin.
1979: “and a god was the Logos.” Das Evangelium nach Johannes, by Jurgen Becker, Würzburg, Germany.1808: “and the word was a god.” The New Testament in an Improved Version, Upon the Basis of Archbishop Newcome’s New Translation: With a Corrected Text.
1864: “and a god was the word.” The Emphatic Diaglott, interlinear reading, by Benjamin Wilson.
1928: “and the Word was a divine being.” La Bible du Centenaire, L’Evangile selon Jean, by Maurice Goguel.
1935: “and the Word was divine.” The Bible—An American Translation, by J. M. P. Smith and E. J. Goodspeed.
1946: “and of a divine kind was the Word.” Das Neue Testament, by Ludwig Thimme.
1950: “and the Word was a god.” New World Translation of the Christian Greek Scriptures.
1958: “and the Word was a God.” The New Testament, by James L. Tomanek.
1975: “and a god (or, of a divine kind) was the Word.” Das Evangelium nach Johannes, by Siegfried Schulz.
1978: “and godlike kind was the Logos.” Das Evangelium nach Johannes, by Johannes Schneider.
Why do we go to your home? Because this was the way Jesus, Apostles & early Christians spread the Good News. The reason other religions do not go out & talk to people, is simply put, they do not have the Bible knowledge, you can tell this by their stupid, nonsense answers that you see & read on Yahoo. You may not believe what we say, at least we know enough from the Bible to carry on a conversation with any person of any Religion.
If you will notice, this scripture is taken from the King James Bible, unlike what these people tell you JW's will use any Bible, King James, Catholic, American Standard, etc, etc., I have a King James with me at all times in the Ministry, in other words, when I knock or ring door bell, if you want to use the King James, that's fine with me
"Acts 20:20 Â And how I kept back nothing that was profitable unto you, but have shewed you, and have taught you publickly, and from house to house."
By the way, most of your ??? are inaccurate

Here are the "questions" distilled from these vaguely anti-Witness ramblings:
1. Why do JWs believe in going to other people's homes to preach?
2. Why go through all that trouble?
3. Why and how do 125-year-old JWs compare with 2,000-year-old Christendom?
4. Do JWs believe in evolution?
5. Are there any types of sciences JWs don't believe in?
6. Is it true that JWs believe that God resides in a star system?
1. Jehovah's Witnesses go from door-to-door because their leader Christ Jesus commanded it (see Luke 10:1-17; Matt 28:19,20; Acts 5:42; 20:20).
2. Jehovah's Witnesses extend themselves in the public ministry out of love for God and love for neighbor. They understand that it is the command of Jesus and thus the will of God, and also that their message from the bible has the power to truly improve the lives of their neighbors (Heb 4:12).
3. Jehovah's Witnesses believe their form of worship to be a restoration of first century Christianity as practiced by the apostles and early disciples, many of whom actually learned directly from Jesus Christ. By contrast, Christendom has accumulated thousands of paganisms and ungodly traditions over its steady corruption away from true worship. Would you rather use a filthy, marked-up 10th-generation photocopy of an original document, or the original document?
4. Jehovah's Witnesses believe in the bible's description of creation, but not in literal 24-hour creative "days". They are neither "creationists" nor "evolutionists".
5. Jehovah's Witnesses believe that science is a gift from God and when guided by godly principles, it can be an enormous help to humankind. Jehovah's Witnesses actually designed, built, wired, and programmed their own computers in the 1970's to pioneer their use for multi-language electronic phototypesetting. Jehovah's Witnesss have also worked with medical professionals around the world to pioneer nonblood medical management in literally every medical procedure. Jehovah's Witnesses believe that so-called sciences which treat human life disrespectfully are displeasing to God.
6. Jehovah's Witnesses do *NOT* believe that God resides in a star system. Instead, they understand that the bible teaches that the Almighty and His angels are spirit creatures with no inherent physicality.
It may sound difficult to believe, but Jehovah's Witnesses really and truly do have the truth. Their theology is solidly bible-based and unimaginably consistent. There are literally *NO* biblical mysteries that do not fit perfectly into the faith's belief system. Every verse of the bible helps assure its adherents that they have the true religion.

The only way you can understand how Christians feel, or why they do something, is if you become a Christian yourself. We Christians obey Gods Word because the Bible says that if we obay His word, we love Him. Jesus told His Disciples to go and witness to the world. We are His disciples now. (I'm not JW so questions specificly to JW should be anwered by them...)

I'm not a Jehovah witness, but I witness for my Jehovah.
I'm Apostolic.
But the bible tells us to witness to people.
Acts 1:8 "But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth."
But if you noticed that it says "...after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you:..." so this means you have to be baptized with the Holy Ghost before you can properly witness. This is the problem with the Jehovah witnesses. If they don't have the Holy Ghost, they can't witness. And there is no place in the Bible where they received the Holy Ghost and did not speak in tongues.
Acts 19:6 "And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Ghost came on them; and they spake with tongues, and prophesied."
Tongues is the evidence of the Holy Ghost, nobody can show you to speak in tongues,God speaks for Himself through you.
And again.
Acts 2:38 "Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost."
Notice that it says "...be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ..." they baptize in the name of the Father,Son, and Holy Ghost. This is not the proper way to baptize...They say that you should listen to Matt 28:19
Mat 28:19 "Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:"
You should notice it says name not names.Whats the name of the Son?It is Jesus.
Joh 5:43 "I am come in my Father's name, and ye receive me not: if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive."
So Jesus came in His Fathers name, this means that the name of the Father is Jesus.Whats the name of the Holy Ghost? Also it is Jesus.
Joh 14:26 "But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name,he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you."
So the Holy Ghost is sent in Jesus name. So if you properly obey Matt 28:19 you will not baptize in Father,Son ,and Holy Ghost, but you will baptize IN THE NAME of the Father,Son and Holy Ghost, which is JESUS.Jehovah is simply a title, meaning "the eternal" or the "self existant" His name is Jesus! So if a Jehovah witnesses comes to my door(which is extremely unlikely since I live in a VERY rural area)I should welcome them in and try to reveal the truth to them.
But we are commanded to witness, but Jehovah Witnesses don't have what the BIBLE,not me, says is required to witness, that is the Holy Ghost, they may say they have it,but the BIBLE shows, not me,that speaking in other tongues as the SPIRIT gives the utterance is the evidence of the Holy Ghost.
Act 2:4 "And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance."
So you can't be shown by a person how to speak in tongues. When you receive the Holy Ghost you speak in other tongues as the Spirit gives the utterance, not yourself but GOD speaks through you when you have the real Holy Ghost.
I believe what the Bible says because of the Holy Ghost dwelling inside me, the Bible says He is the same yesterday today and forever.I believe in the apostles doctrine because they where taught by Jesus and by the Holy Ghost to preach it!
Heb 13:8 "Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and today, and forever. "
I do not believe in evolution because it does not correspond with the Bible
Gen 1:31 "And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day."
Not billions and billions of years,ONLY 6 DAYS.

Install a spyeye on your door and the next time they come to visit, be nude and invite them in. I put a fish on my door, they never visit me, but you were wondering about their audacity, turn about is fun.
