It is actualy rare for God to verbaly speak to any one today... But it dose happen... usualy it is in non verbal ways that He communicates with His people.

I have heard God speak to me on two occasions... once 29 yrs before I became one of His. And then on the day of my Salvation.

As a non believer the first time it scared the hell out of me so bad I repressed it for a long time. I was in a holy place and was told " Get out, you are not welcome here"... I clearly "heard" this...even though the one with me did not. It was not a "feeling" or a vivid "thought"... it was a clear and distinct voice....

On The day of my Salvation, after I have taken my first communion, I said Thank you Lord God... and I clearly heard "you are Welcome".... I have absolutly no doubt who was speaking... and I have absolutly no doubt that if i am ever able to go back to that holy site that I will be welcome to enter...

Only 10 words... but I know The Truth of what I heard. ..

I know how weird this sounds, but here it is. I was going through some really terrifying nightmares. Night after night, I would wake up and wonder what was going on.

One night I cried, and I prayed to God,"Why am I having these horrible dreams?"

(Here's the strange part) My own mouth said, without me forming the thought, "Forget about the dreams. They are not a part of us."

I was so shocked, I didn't go back to sleep for quite a while. See, I don't talk like that (plural). Nobody does. So I've always believed that it was God.

The dreams quit too.

I have, I think. At youth camp, our guest speaker had all of us like, sit in dead silence and like, pray, or journal, or read the Bible. And I was journaling and I asked God, "Are you there?" and from what our speaker said (Ihad never had this happen to me before so I wasn't sure) was to listen in the silence and have no distractions, and I felt my heart tug and this "I'm here" and I started to talk to him again and that's when our speaker had to start taking again. Now, I'm not real sure if it's God or my head playing tricks on me. But don't give up. God always hears our prayers.

Sit in meditation, let the chatter of your mind go quiet as you focus, let your consciousness expand and become clear and then you will perceive Him. Your relationship with God is a personal one and hence you would want to commune with Him rather than ask people around you about what they hear.

Because you will hear all sorts of things as you can already see.

This is what says He to you.

I have never "heard" God say anything, though when i have prayed, i have felt such a profound feeling of love from him, which i could never deny. Words aren't neccisary. If you need quotes, read the scriptures

I heard GOD speak to me when I was a child. He told me to close my eyes and go to sleep. Later I found out it was my Grandpa talking through the heat vent. That was when I first realized that GOD was a load of crap.

When I asked God to reveal my wife, I heard God say, "Read Song of Songs." When I finished reading that, I heard, "Now go read my apostle Paul," referring to his descriptions of marriage.

God does not speak to people the way He did in the beginning - Why you ask - He gave us the Bible - it contains all the words we need to know to get to heaven.
