your bite will constantly be changing, ive had mine on for almost 2 years now, and when they change my wire, it still changes, you will get used to it and it will feel better in a few days.

I had this same problem. I stayed away from solid food for a few days until it didn't hurt. You can still chew if your molars don't meet up, as long as they touch (I did). It's all just the process of getting your teeth together straight. It shouldn't last more than a month. And if anything, your best bet would be to call the ortodontist's office and asking the people there. They help you out with that stuff.

If it bothers you a lot you can eat foods like yogurt, top ramen, or anything else that you don't really have to chew.

I hope I helped.

Just give it time. This is common when you first get braces. Just eat food that doesn't require much chewing. It won't be long and you'll being eating your favorite foods. Your beautiful smile in a couple years will be worth it.

Did your orthodontist have you wearing bands? Those are meant to be worn to prevent this from happening. =/ Get yourself to the dentist and find out whats going on. You don't want jaw problems in the future (sounds like your jaw isn't properly alligned).

Good luck ~ Elle

Oh! I mis-read the question. Its totally normal for your jaw to be all weird. Don't get worked up, its okay! The bands will fix it over time. :) Stick with soft foods that don't hurt your teeth (trust me, I know how bad the gums can hurt the first few weeks).

The whole point of braces is to readjust your bite, so it is natural that it is not the same as it was before. You will get used to it after a while, and it will improve. The final results are definitely worth it!

I got braces 2-day! They hurt like crap right now! I haven't eaten hardly anything all day, cuz I can't put my teeth together without pain! It stinks. This is the 2nd time I've had them. It'll ger better about 3 days after u get them on, u will be able to move your mouth more normally!

It will last until the braces make the teeth aligned. I had this problem to. And the reason why your teeth hurt is because as you speak they are aligning themselves. This will last a couple of weeks. After a while it will stop, Just make sure you have enough asprin to take.

This will last until your teeth are forced back to where they should be.

Try to not bite all the way down when you eat. Do not chew gum and avoid coffee and colas....they will stain your teeth bad and it is impossible to brush everything with braces.

Good luck!

Call your orthodontist in the morning and ask if your bite is supposed to line up that way. If it is, stick with soft foods until your bite is corrected.

Oh, that is totally normal. My teeth did the same, and soon enough after a week or two they adjusted real well. Trust me, it will fit soon enough. In the mean time just keep eating that campbells soup!!
