In general there are 2 types of MP units. The ones that stay in garrison and the ones that are FORSCOM (or go to war units) I cannot say how long they stay home, at least is 6 months before the whole unit gets tagged again. But it depends who you support, or what brigade you are part of. Is there a the possibility of a major deployment back to back? (6 months in between) yes there is. Right now, you can tell the units that are going, by rotations. But there is nothing guaranteed. People will tell you this and that, but the Army has a way with everything, if they want you to go, you will go. My suggestion, be prepared for the worst, know the rotations and play with your reenlistment, assignments etc.
