The bible is not God's word, neither the gospel taht Jesus preached. It's a book about Jesus, written by some people and they attributed to four desciple who one of them was only 10 when Jesus died.

It can be found in a book called the course in miracles.
It is radically different than the fantasy fabrication found in the bible, but it sounds a lot more like Jesus.
The book is kind of expensive but you can often find one on ebay for a reasonable price.
I have worn out two copys. Its worth the price and your time.
Love and blessings

I can accept your point of view and your question. I do agree that what is recorded in the Gospels are the words that other say they heard from Jesus or was reported to them that Jesus did say.
I must ask you, do you have any evidence that can prove that what is recorded by others is not what Jesus did actually say? Also I must ask you if you heard a recording of the actual words stated by Jesus would you accept it as the actual recording or would question its being authentic?
Please I am not trying to be critical of your position. I am just trying to place all in the proper perspective. In society the evidence of two or more witnesses who do agree seems to be enough to make a decision one way or another. Of course such does not say it is the correct decision but normally a decision is made. In respect to the Bible many have made such a decision and do accept the recordings as being authentic. Others have made the decision they are all worthless and not true. I guess such a decision is up to the one who makes it.
I must ask you this question. Some say the Bible is the word of God. Others say the Bible contains the words that God wants humankind to properly divide and understand. Another opinion is the Bible is all just a fairy tale. Now where do you stand on this issue and why?
Is it a factual conclusion based upon proven clearly seen facts or is it just an opinion? Did you set down and think about it alone and make your decision or were you influenced by others? Do you believe all that you see or just some of what you see? Do you believe some of what you read or none of what you read?
Absolute it is the right of everyone to have his own opinion and to keep it to himself in my view. However is it the right of one to share his opinion with others with out factual evidence to support such a conclusion as he will state? Is it the right to expect other to see your way when no reasoning is submitted except "this is how I see it and that is all there is to it"?
I guess the only answer is that you must continue to seek an answer to your question, for to the best of my knowledge no one can present to you in this sequence or age absolute proof that can not or will not be questioned.
Do have a great day in your search and do smile.

If you want the truth about what Jesus said and did then read the four accounts written about him. Three are by people who knew him personally and spend as long as four years travelling with him, hearing his words, seeing his miracles, learning his teachings, witnessed his death, and touched his hands after he rose again. Men who gave their lives because of their faith in him. The fourth, while never kowing Jesus personally, spend years tracking down the witnesses and participates in the events and recording their stories. He only includes the events for which he had a first hand witness.
Three of the four records were written within 30 years of the events, and the last about 70 years after near the end of the last writer's life. Quotes from each of the books exist as far back as 40 years after the events (so the books have to be the old to be quoted). Portions of manuscripts of the books date back to with 50 years of the events. And complete copies of the records from with 100 years of the events.
These four eye-witness accounts are know by the names Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. They are the truthful, complete, accurate, and historically reliable accounts of who Jesus was and what he said. There are no others.

The Gospels in specific, and the New Testament in general is littered with statements attributed to Jesus.
By rejecting the Gospels of Luke and Mark, you effectively reject the possibillity of reconstructing a Gospel of Jesus.
However, the Jesus Seminr had a couple of hand picked "scholars" vote on various sayings attributed to Jesus, to determine which one's were authentic, and which one's weren't. One of the criteria that they used, was to reject as inathentic, anything which could have been said by a Christian apologist who came after him, and also to reject anything that could have been said by a Jewish Rabbi before him. Then they decided to reject anything for which there was only one source. Oddly enough, they did come up with an "authentic' Gospel of Jesus, that doesn't match the description of Jesus found in the Early Church, nor in the various groups that were considered to be heretical by the Early Church.

The true Gospel is the Good News that Jesus died on the cross for the sins of the whole world! He shed his blood so that the penalty for sin could be paid in full!
Those who accept this Good News will live in Heaven with Jesus!
Jesus died, he rose from the dead, and ascended into Heaven! That is the only Gospel that you need to know!

Faith comes by those who beleive and truth only come to those who search diligently for it. To find the good news or gospel one only needs to search for it. You could take any words from anyone and pick it apart but the truth can only be found by someone who searches for it. Each of the 66 books of the Bible are love letters from God written through men. I find that Romans will show us where we stand before God. If you don't believe [there's that faith again] that the Bible is the inerrant word of God then there is absolutely nothing anyone will ever be able to say to help you find the truth. You can show a horse where the water is, but you can't make him drink it.

The entire Bible preaches the Gospel of Christ. It is all about Him, that we are a fallen people, enslaved to sin. We need a redeemer who is perfect and is able to take our punishment for our sins, that person is Christ. The four gospels reveal His life on earth, from different perspectives. Matthew and John were both eyewitnesses to the events and life of Christ. Mark's gospel is believed have been dictated to him by Peter. Luke, who is considered one of the best ancient historians, spoke to those who were eyewitnesses and put together his gospel from their accounts.
