They have everything you can think of; protein pills, carb pills, multi-vitamins, appetite suppresants, and many many more that I dont have the room to mention. In the right combination, would you be able to survive on only pills and water? Again, I dont plan on doing this, im only curious.

I'd wonder this once before myself.
No unfortunately, you don't get all you need. Your digestive tract needs to process food or it will shut down.

No. You need the food. You can't get enough nutrients if you just take the pills. Plus you won't get any of the good fat that you need from the pills. Vitamins are helpful, but only when taken with other food. If you just take water and vitamins, the vitamin is basically useless since you won't get even close to the amount of vitamins you actually need. Some vitamins and minerals you can only get from food anyways.

You would have to eat a whole lot of pills but it can be done, but....I know that many protein supplements can cause diarrhea when taken excessively and you would need special vitamins with enough of your RDA not just a regular multi-vitamin, so it probably wouldnt last very long, few weeks tops.

No.

NASA has been trying this since the beginning of the space age. They still can't do it. I doubt over the counter pills will do it either.

One of the major problems is, we still have not figured out all the trace elements that are required for successful maintenance of the human body. We got the major ones - protein, calcium, potassium, etc. But there are so many minuscule amount of trace elements that are absolutely essential. We don't know them all, yet.

im not 100% sure but i highly doubt it. your body needs calories which it converts into energy to survive and run. if your just taking pills, you probably wont get a lot of calories.

hey hun....i wouldnt think so....after all our bodies are made to digest food wether its going down our throats or tube fed....it wouldnt take your stomach very long to digest a pill if thats all one would consume so i would think your stomach would shrink up into practically nothing....don't you?....love daisy
