These days people can be cruel and dont realise the hurt they are causing,no matter what your partner or you say they will continue. The only advise really is to rise above this abuse and eventually they will move on to somebody else.People like that always find some other misfortunate person to pick on.......Good luck.

I feel sorry for you and your fiance. Racists are ignorant, inward looking pig-like people who use taunts against others to mask their fear of the unknown. It's very rare to find a well travelled racist. Most racists in the UK haven't been further than the week long holiday on the Costa del sol.

My advice to you would be to reassure your fiance of your loving feelings for him. Remind him what a great person he is. Remind him that racists are ignorant sows that are despised and loathed by normal society. Racists have to hide their actions because of this, normally if they are caught they are prosecuted to the full extent of the law.

Try moving to Ireland or Scotland, we celts aren't racist, we know what it's like to be treated as second class citizens by an occupying power.

The poor misguided fool two down from this post thinks I'm talking about the football club - I'm not Celts (or the Celtic - pronounced with a hard 'C') are a race. Celtic are a (shite) scottish football club. I'm Scottish I know about that one.

No answer to this one really except try to ignore it, have you tried hanging out in an area with a higher muslim population, not really treating the cause, but might ease the symptoms, also might help stop him feeling lonely about it. Unfortunately, I know it wont help in the long term as its people like the racists driving people into small groups that creates the segregation in a lot of cases.

Funny how the person who said they were from the UK said there was no racism here and then the person who says theyre a celt (which is not just a football team by the way, few football teams have their own language unless you include all the drunk singing and swearing) then contradicts that by proclaiming they have to deal with being treated as second class citizens by an occupying power, and declaring that just Ireland and Scotland have no racism. Which is of course wrong. Racism is everywhere unfortunately, to proclaim people of one culture are not racist is a kind of positive racism, you assume everyone in your culture thinks the same way as you do, which they wont. I grew up in an area with little racism in England (it was considered out of order) but of course it was still there, its everywhere.....

Are these people 'friends' or strangers. If they are strangers who gives a damn. There are a lot of bigoted people out there. One one hand they don't want 'foreigners' in their country - on the other hand they are off to their favourite indian/chinese/tai restaurant on a Saturday night. If they are 'friends' sit them down and tell them that you expect them to respect your relationship and the man involved and if they can't say anything nice not to say anything at all - oh yes and that you will not be seeing them until they have some appreciation of how much therre comments hurt. In the meantime each of us have a right to have a relationship regardless of race, religion etc as long as the 2 people involved are happy with it.

First of all... screw them! Hey people even talk stupidities about everyone... you two know the truth. So just ignore them... if they are certain people that you often have to be with just don't talk to them at all. I had this people that used to stalk me just to make my life miserable... i was getting irritated and yelling at them... they were feeding themselves with my pain and desperation. As soon as i ignored them, they stopped. Now they get like crazy because i don't talk to them AT ALL!
If it's just people then... c'mon those people must be really miserable and jealous of you two being so happy and in love. So again, screw them! "what goes around comes around" don't worry that God/Allah will always have the last word.

Best wishes!

Those people are ignorant. tell him he is a far better person than they if he can rise above it. I also suggest considering moving to the UK, we dont have that kind of racist nonsense flying around here. It isnt tolerated.

Go to that person and say not every one is the same so dont tar my boyfriend with the same brush please. See what they have to say then. Just you both need to be calm and positive about it, as you two love each other and this could only make you two stronger. Good Luck

There's nothing you can do to help him ignore them, other than be there for him and remind him that the world is full of idiots. then just love him. I just hope the people doing this to him are not your family members!!!
