it really depends on traffic - try to avoid rush hour! you can probably get a cab for $50-$60 if there's not bad traffic, but that also depends on where in hollywood you're going - it's a big place. you could also try to catch a shuttle - they take longer, but will save you a lot of $$ :)

The better question is how to do it for less than a single taxi. It's called Super Shuttle. You share a van ride with others and it's very inexpensive. As you exit baggage claim, cross the taxi line to the island where the shuttles pull up. There is an attendant there who can assist you who works for the airport. They will call a shuttle for you. Should cost under $20.

My boyfriend travels a lot so he's always taking a cab from LAX back into HWood, he pays about $50 - $60 depending on traffic, which at times can be rough, once he had an $80 cab ride.

probably around 50 bucks, try to bargain with the driver, for 3 bucks you can take public transportation, take the Sepulveda bus to Santa Monica Blvd, then transfer to the Santa Monica (#10) to Hollywood.
