Why the religious ladies from christanity, islam and judaism cover their heads ?

Religious folk in various religions, even others from those you mentioned, cover their hair due to modesty, since hair is an enticing and attractive quality in a woman. The only ones who could see their hair, besides family (parents + children) are their husbands. I've never heard of Christians covering their hair. Some religions cover their hair only after marriage and some since childhood. in which case their may be a level of restricion (e.g. who can see) that I am not aware of. Men cover their heads, not hair, for a completely different. In fact, the hair is often not completely covered since the hair has nothing to do with it.

Some Christians wear doilies over their head becuase on one passage that says "cover you head because of the angels". That was mentioned as being in Church/Temple. That may relate to why Jews do so. All Jews cover their heads in temple. As a sign of respect to God.

Islam does because some high leader decided it was indecent for a married womans hair to be seen by anyone but her husband. Varous groups decided theyd improve on it and the face couldn't be seen. Its mentioned no where in the Koran though.

Because according to traditions, God does not accept the prayers of a woman whose head is not covered... exposing her hair. Maybe because hair for a woman is considered an ornament of beauty and should be covered during prayer so as not to attract attention to it.

In Hassidic Judaism and fundamentalist Islam, it's for "modesty" - uncovered hair is supposedly erotic and will incite men to think lustful thoughts. (Hassidic Jewish women are supposed to cut off their hair once they get married, actually, and wear wigs).

Also men have to cover their heads, too, if you haven't noticed.

They are taught inferiority and shame for bringing sin into the world. Religions are now set up for men. Blame the woman and make her hide herself; is the norm. Also, men claim that women are seductive and that in itself makes them sinful. So they are supposed to cover up their flesh. i am muslim,i cover my head with a veil and i cover all my body exept my hands and face coz Allah ordered me to do so coz Allah loves me sooooooo much and he wanna me be like a diamond which is being away from the dust and everything bad.
