What is it about the Minutemen that has people so riled up?? I mean seriously they are private citizens doing their own thing on their own time. Why are people so against them protecting the border? As long as they aren't harming you what difference does it make?? Serious answers please.....I already know half of you think they are racist, but I want to know WHY IT BOTHERS YOU THAT THEY ARE PROTECTING THE BORDER??
And before you lay into me, it has been proven that the Minutemen has helped reduce drug trafficking.

Wow no bashers screaming that the Minutemen are racist!! I'm impressed! That being said I could NOT pick out a best answer.....it was too hard,so many in my opinion deserve to be best answer. I have no problem with them protecting our borders, but I wish the government would allow law enforcement to work with them as a team. That way the few racists and trouble-makers in the Minutemen would be weeded out. I think they do the country a great service.

Hello, while i am Pro-minutemen i do see what the concern is. Its pretty much boils down to a matter of the law versus vigilanties. It would pretty much be the same if say you or i were to go to a high crime sociaty and take on gang voilence with our own weapons and own time. The concern lies in inoccents civilians acting where a officer should be... Besides cops dont like to be shown up by people who know they can take care of things themselves. Then you make the officers look bad.

The Minutemen have never harmed anyone, they've even HELPED some of the illegals!! The Minutemen are decent,lawabiding citizens, who are volunteering their own time and money to help protect our borders!!!

I don't feel threatened by the Minutemen nor do I feel thhreatened or restricted by Communities around the country passing their own ordinances to restrict illegal immigrants. I just wish the Congress had the stones to do something.

Yea for the Minutemen!! They are true, blue Americans who love their country and their freedom and are doing what the government hasn't the balls to do! I love them! They haven't hurt anyone and, in fact, I have read how they have given food and water to illegals and I have even read in the news of illegals approaching them for help because they know the Minutement will help them humanitarianly before handing them over to the BP.

The people who live in the areas that the Minutemen are patrolling, like and support them just fine.
The people who, rightly, feel threatened are those that are attempting to enter illegally.
The only ones complaining, are the looney lefties, even though they are not being threatened at all.

The opinions of others don't matter because it's legal for the minutemen to report illegal activity to the authorities (as I understand this is what most of them do). People don't have to like it.

This is the land of the free. If illegals can hold rallies and marches why are they so distressed over people who provide information to the border patrol the law is the law. Illegals are just going to have to get use it. It's our country our freedoms. Get USE TO IT.
