I would not be at all surprised kittens are almost prone to worms and a bloated belly is definately a good sign kittens should be wormed with intestinal wormer every 2 weeks until they are 12 weeks of age . if u are not sure u can look at the kittens faeces u may or may not see worms just cause u cannot see them does not mean they r not there and worming them if they dont have worms cannot hurt them i think most wormers are 2ml per kilo so its pretty safe

More than likely that is exactly what it is. You need to take care of this quickly, like tomorrow, or the kitten could die from the worms. Take the kitten to a vet and have him/her checked. If you can't afford to do that, then at least go to a pet store and ask them to recommend something for worms. Again, you must take care of this right away. Your kitten's life could be at stake.

If you know for sure the kitten hasn't been wormed, it's probably worms. If she has fleas, it's most likely tapeworms. Then there's hook worms, round worms, stronglet worms, etc., Take it to the vet along with a fecal sample to be wormed, don't do it with some de-wormer from Walmart because you don't know what kind of worms they are.

hey, im a vet tech, have been for 9 years. number one reason that your kittens belly is so big....worms. get them to the vet, and get some wormer in them! a severe infestation can cause serious health issues! 99% of all kittens and puppies are born with worms.

It might be worms, but I heard that when humans or animals don't get the right nutrients or are too poorly nourished, they get these swelled bellies. Maybe you should try getting those vitamins you can put into the cat food, but I'd ask a vet just to make sure it's nothing serious.

Since I can't see him I can't tell you. Worms ARE a possibility. It could be something else internal. It it seems distended and bloated, you need to take the kitty to the vet ASAP!!! If for some reason his abdomen is filling with blood, he needs immediate help. I don't know what it is having no visual, but if it's a big change and it seems he's actually "bloated", please see a vet.

I suggest you bring the kitten in to the vets as soon as possible for an exam. They can determine what is wrong, it could be a bad case of parasites which requires medication. Or it could be something worse. Don't wait, make an appointment.

It's a possibility but not likely. Kitties tummies are supposed to be fat, just like babies. Watch when it poops for signs of worms but otherwise, just kiss the kitties belly and give it some extra yarn to play with.

All kittens are assumed to have roundworms. So much so that at the shelter where I work, we just worm all kittens that come in.
It is easy and cheap to worm them and it needs to be done because roundworms are contageous to humans.
See the vet. The kittens needs shots too!!!!!!
