How do I tell a girl I want a small relationship?

How do I tell a girl that I want to start off with a small non romantic relationship. I feel I need to get to know her more before we go into a full on relatioship.

All you can do is be completely honest. If that's how you really feel, then tell her. Yes, she might get mad or upset, but that doesn't mean you did anything wrong. Rushing into something - especially something as important as a relationship - is not a good idea. Take the time to get to know one another. If things eventually turn out more romantic, you'll both be happy that you waited because you'll both know well enough to feel comfortable taking it to another level. There's no reason to push a serious relationship when you don't even know a person that well. The longest lasting marriages usualy start off as very close frienships. If she doesn't agree with that, then find someone who does. All in all, stick to your guns and be honest. She'll either love and respect you for it or she won't. But you'll never know until you find out. Good luck. ;-)

It depends on the girl....like me...i WANT to start off with a small relationship and trust me...guys like u are hard to find cuz most guys only want u 4 one reason and i think u no the answer..if shes a shy girl with not much experience in dating just dont put out too much..u no...start out small and she will start out small with u...if shes different and she always dates and just expects to have the relationship get serious..whenever she starts to be romantic and stuff...just tell her really nicely and she hopefullly will understand (again..it depends on the girl)

Just be honest with her. Girls are over-dramatic, over-bearing, and quite largely insecure. Women, on the other hand, are extremely resilient and by and large secure in themselves. Tell her you're not ready to move things too fast, if she handles it with understanding, then you've got someone you can grow with. If not, then it's probably best to know now. However, if you do tell her you don't want a serious relationship, she might be the type of girl that doesn't want to have casual sex, and you have to be prepared for that.

So.. in other words your not interested? Tell her you wanna be friends and let it grow i guess.. but u should make up your mind. She might not want to get into a romantic relationship once you have told her that you want a friendship.

Tell her just that it goes tons better from the start if you say that at the begining> Trust me I am in a relationship where it started off to be intended like that but he didnt tell me, and it was rocky for months.

Just be honest and tell her that you are not looking for an exclusive relationship right now. Be as honest with her as you were with us. If she is really interested in you she'll take what she can get. Good Luck!

Well, my question is what's wrong with getting to know her IN the relationship...
That's what you do in the initial stage of a relationship anyways...
