For those of you saying use birth control.
Imagine you and your spouse both have good paying jobs. As good as you can possibly get in your class level in a very corrupt government. You have 2-3 children and then one or both of you lose your jobs and are unable to find work paying as well as your last job. You are about to be homeless and what little food you have goes to the children.
If you think crossing the border illegally to find a job that will provide for your starving family is wrong, what would you do?
And would you honestly tell somebody they should have used birth control because they lived in a poor country?
If you would, you seriously need to be dropped in the middle of a third world country and try to survive.

I honestly couldn't answer what I would do unless put in that position. I think we can all sit here and say we would do one thing or another, but we would never really know unless we have lived it. I wish I could give you a better answer then this.
On the other hand, I can tell you that I can not lie or do anything wrong without feeling really terrible about it. I would have to tell someone the truth if I told them a lie. It is just me, and that is how I am. Morals, I guess. But, I would also do anything for my family. Given those two things, I honestly don't know what I would do. I do know that I would definitely figure something out that works for my family. They are the world to me.
Hope you get your answers.

You are not talking about Mexico, I hope, which is a rich country ... and have you read what is actually enshrined in their Constitution? Let me quote:
During the three months prior to childbirth, women shall not perform physical labor that requires excessive material effort. In the month following childbirth they shall necessarily enjoy the benefit of rest and shall receive their full wages and retain their employment and the rights acquired under their labor contract. During the nursing period they shall have two special rest periods each day, of a half hour each, for nursing their infants.
The minimum wage to be received by a worker shall be general or according to occupation.
The general minimum wage must be sufficient to satisfy the normal material, social, and cultural needs of the head of a family and to provide for the compulsory education of his children. The occupational minimum wage shall be fixed by also taking into consideration the conditions of different industrial and commercial activities
Farm workers shall be entitled to a minimum wage adequate to their needs.
Equal wages shall be paid for equal work, regardless of sex or nationality.
The minimum wage shall be exempt from attachment, compensation, or deduction.
See the bit about adequate to their needs? Hmmmm .... sometimes wish our Constitution would say something like that ....

TRUTH BE TOLD: If I was there and was not able to provide for my family, I would come here, laws or not.
BUT....
I would come here respectfully.
I would appreciate even the lowliest of jobs just out of appreciation of being here.
I would never carry another country's flag around in the streets.
I would do everything I could to become AMERICAN in word and deed. I would make every effort to gain legal status and would never claim this land to belong to Mexico.
THE END

Do you think that is the situation of every one of the 12 to 20 million here?
If not, what do you think is the likely percentage of those with that precise situation?
And why don't they vote in a government that will help them? We are working on our government, not on them. Why don't they work on their own government, and not on us?
Bigballer, telling people to come legally means telling them to respect our limits on poor immigrants. We can't and won't pay for all of the world's poor.

It's about responsibility and being able to provide for your children, unless you're counting on them being financed by American tax payers to be a tax right off once they are born. Sex and having babies are both blessings if you are married...although having more than you are capable of wanting or putting first in your life is a sign of ignorance and lack of education!

Where does your money go?This is a tuff topic but I know people who did it legally and they jumped through hoop after hoop and you are saying to bad all you had to do was break the law. What kind of message do you think you are sending to everyone.

Been there-no I would not let my values down. I wouldn't want my children to learn that. I am sure their are other options. Not easy but the honest way is the route I would take.

Believe it or not--some would never trade what is morally right to do something against the law.
I think you need a few to ask that,
