my ex and i get along great except for the fact that i want to date someone else. i feel like he is trying to control my life by telling me things i want to hear to keep me thinkin there is a chance for us. i really don't want to ruin our friendship...help

I am a 22 year old single mother also in the same position me and my kids father are close too but not together he always makes me feel like I should not be with other people as if we could really work but he always says later though. That was going on for two years and in dec 2005 I started to date a little and I realized that was the best for me. So I guess my advice would be if you really want to date someone else do it you would feel so much better about the situation. You should take the control away from your babies father. And if he doesn't want to be your friend that should be okay as long as he respects you and your decisions. And if it doesn't work with someone else he might stop playing around and want to be with you. maybe we could chat some time also I would love to hear what you decide to do.

i certanly say go for it,get dating,your single and that is the end of it.
why go on a date with some one,then him saying he doesent want you to do it,cause if that is whats happeng you both might aswell get back together.cause at the moment your like belgium,a country with no force.
oh by the way,i like to date mothers,prefebly s exy ones lol,nothing megga seriouse though lol.

it time for you to get out. he might be the baby's daddy but you are still a lady with a heart and sole that need to be love and held. if he wont's you then give him a time limit . you have needs and you do not need to be trap by him. good luck..
