Losing weight is easy business.

Reducing food intakes is one of the ways that people lose weight. All you need to do is change your diet a little (have fruits for breakfast, cut out most carbos, exercise more) and you are on your way to weight loss.

However, as someone who has helped people lost more than a total of 1000kg, I have noticed that exercise is important as well to maintain the weight loss.

I myself have lost 15kg within 2 months. The core in maintanence lies not just what you do but also what you think.

If you think about it.. a person is who he or she is NOW because of her actions in the past (eg, likes to eat, dun like to exercise, loves fried food) and these actions are usually determined by the decisions that she has made.

The decisions she mades are usually decided by the mindsets that she has about being overweight or being slim.

I often use this analogy when I teach people how to lose weight. Should I be able to give you a 'magical' way to lose weight but your mindsets, your decisions and your actions are still the same... it is very likely that 3 mths down the road, you will be back in square one.

I had a fren who won $10 000 in TOTO and spent it all at xx beauty saloon. While she did slim down, her mindsets never changed and so, after that happened, she proceeded to continue her unhealthy and fattening lifestyle of drinking lots of beer everyday. True enough, she gained back all that she has lost within 3 mths!

So are you ready to change what you think?

Can you find a strong motivation? Why must you lose weight? What compelling reasons are there? I had 175 reasons before I lost my 15kg.. my fren had 300++ reasons before she lost 27kg within 3 months.

So what are YOUR reasons?

Now that you have good reasons, maybe you will be more motivated to exercise.

My mother says, "Successful people do things that others are not willing to do."

Good luck!

You should get some exercise. It is not just about losing weight, it is about your general health: joint health, cardio vascular system, bone density, muscle strength and endurance....

Find an activity that you enjoy.

HERE ARE THE BASICS:

1. you lose weight by consuming fewer Calories than you burn
2. you gain weight by consuming more Calories than you burn.
3. you should be concerned with losing FAT, not weight.
4. You should be more concerned with your percent body fat, not your weight.
5. the best, most effective way or burning fat is by combining weight-training and cardio exercise. The more muscle you have, the higher your metabolism will be. You will burn more calories all day long, including while you sleep. A health body fat percentage for males is 7-18%, females 18-24% (approximate numbers).
6. you should eat 6-8 small meals each day - this will prevent you from eating 3 large meal which will slow your metabolism while your body works to digest the large quantity of food.

As a general rule of thumb, you should be weight-training 3-4 times per week and performing cardio 3-5 times per week.

Consider hiring a personal trainer (ISSA certified) and a nutritionist. The money spent on these services is worth more than spending money on pills and potions.

It is mostly NOT your fault, if you need to lose weight. The way you have been taught to eat is responsible for making obesity the number one health problem in the world (according to Atlantic Monthly magazine) replacing hunger and infectious disease. You need to re-learn how to eat so you can become thin. Not a diet, but diet lifestyle.

Find out about fastest way to lose weight, gradual ways to lose weight, most effective exercise and anti-water. Lose bodyfat and retained water which also makes you a lot fatter (bloated). Most important-- make sure to read the last "fat loss tip", first before anything else, to see the number one food that causes Americans to be fat.

first of all, there is no such thing without excercise you can have a good body.
But, you can try to cut down the carb intake, replace it with protein and A LOT of Fiber and water.
DONT stop eating, it will destroy your body.
try to have 2,000 calories diet:
1st week: 50% protein, 40% carb, 10% fat(good fat)

The following healthy living recommendations will help you if you’re trying to lose weight, tone up your muscles, have aspirations of building lean muscle mass, are attempting to get a wash board stomach, or just want to feel better:

*1) Burn more calories then you're consuming everyday and measure your results using the following formula: Calories Consumed minus Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR) minus Physical Activity minus the Thermic Effect of Food (TEF). A website that explains this formula in more detail and will help you determine how many calories you need to reach or maintain a certain weight is at http://www.primusweb.com/fitnesspartner/library/weight/calsburned.htm

Get a diet and fitness calculator that you can put on your computer or cell phone. This will allow you to easily calculate the above formula, set goals, log your daily calorie consumption, and register your physical activities.

Set realistic goals for your ideal body weight. Here are two websites that will calculate a suggested body weight:
Adults: http://www.halls.md/ideal-weight/body.htm
Teens/Children: http://www.kidshealth.org/kid/exercise/weight/bmi.html

It is difficult and unhealthy to lose more than one or two pounds per week. There are 3,500 calories in a pound. If you eat 500 fewer calories per day for a week you will lose one pound. If you burn through exercise 500 more calories per day for a week you will lose one pound.

*2) Eat natural and organic foods found on earth versus something created by a corporation to make money. Eat meals in small portions throughout the day and take a good multi-vitamin supplement.

Avoid “High Glycemic Load Carbs” (sugar, pastries, desserts, refined starches such as breads, pasta, refined grains like white rice; high starch vegetables such as potatoes) and drink lots of water. Read this article for more information on high GL Carbs:
http://www.hsph.harvard.edu/nutritionsource/carbohydrates.html

Do not try fad diets or diet pills. Here is an excellent food pyramid that anyone can follow: http://www.rayandterry.com/html/images/PyramidLRG.gif?osCsid=26a424be471d1337e7c2f105d5c64d9d

*3) Exercise on most days by doing cardiovascular training and/or resistance training activities.

Read a book or find a certified trainer to make sure your doing all resistance training exercises correctly. A great book to buy that teaches you the resistance training basics is “Weight Training for Dummies”. A superb magazine to buy with resistance training routines that will not get you bored is "Muscle and Fitness". Signup for the free newsletter. An excellent free online resource is at http://www.exrx.net/

A good book to buy that teaches you the cardiovascular training basics is “Fitness for Dummies”.

*4) Get plenty of sleep. Sleep experts say most adults need between seven and nine hours of sleep each night for optimum performance, health, and safety.

*5) Educate yourself continually on health issues and make a life long commitment to good health. A great free publication is “Dietary Guidelines for Americans 2005”. A superb book to read is “You The Owner’s Manual”. An excellent periodic publication is the “Nutrition Action Health Letter”. A reputable test you can take to measure your biological age is at http://realage.com

Look at all areas where you can enhance your health. For example, make improvements in the quality of the air you breathe. Review outdoor air quality forecasts where you live and get an indoor air purifier. Send me an email or yahoo instant message to "gainbetterhealth" if you want an indoor air purifier recommendation and if you have any questions.
