finished work in the mirror?

Was it not what you expected?

Did the stylist screw it up?

Or were they tears of joy over seeing a new you in the mirror?

C'mon, share your stories.

Ha ha! That's funny, Medusa!

pb, I'm not implying that ingratitude should be shown to a stylist. But I know several ladies personally who started crying after a new cut or style, either because they hated it or she got worked on by a stylist fresh out of beauty school (well, that would fall under "hated it" too, actually). Some were still crying a week later.

Just curious is all.

When I was 18, I had long straight hair, and I wanted it cut to about shoulder length. The imbecile that cut hacked it off at about chin length, and it was uneven. It looked horrible, and I cried.

I went to my friend's house, and she cut it even shorter in the back, and permed the top. After she got done, I looked great! I would never have considered a cut that short before, but I was willing to let her do whatever she could to try to fix the mess the professional stylist had made of my hair.

My hair is waist length again, and I'm considering a new cut. I can't wait.

I've had both. Once I got a hair cut that was dried and curled into the ugliest style I have ever seen. It wasn't too bad once I restyled it myself, but the cut just wasn't good.

I got THAT cut, cut even shorter, and even though it was shorter than most men would wear it, I LOVED it. I was also happy it fixed the other cut.

I wear it long now because it grows too fast for either of those cuts to last more than a couple of weeks.
