Doesn't everyone judge everyone else everyday? Isn't it what we base all our relationships on? ...friend, enemy, acquaintance, love, hate, stay away from that creep... What self-centered prima donna came up with "don't judge me" anyway?

judging people is at the our core. It is how we stay alive, we must constantly judge people, if a person looks dangerous, you would avoid them. If you didn't you could put yourself in dangerous situations just because you didn't want to judge some one.

Primadonnas exist in a surreal "perfect world", in this world they get their asses kicked.

Judgment is a word that comes not as an evaluation of someone else but brings along possible vindication or condemnation. The judgment as to whether someone is going to heaven is a judgment that some other answers are making reference. That is God's right to do.

What we think of others as to their lifestyle, choices, decisions whether they be good or bad is not necessarily a judgment. You need to evaluate friends, enemies, acquaintances to know what's best for you. That doesn't mean they are condemned, just privileged to be part of your life OR NOT!

Judgment keeps the concept of the self/ego intact because judgment conditions that there is something that judges something else. This is part of the mind creating the illusory self; if the judgment stuff were worked on, the self would slowly drop away.

Yes, we judge people everyday as we were perfect. And usually when we spend so much time judging is a sign of we have serious problems that we want to avoid. Judging is a way of distracting from our own problems and defects.

We are not here to judge poeple as to whether they will go to heaven because we can't help get the splinter out of someones eye when we have a 2x4 in our own eye. God can only judge that. As far as judging people in a context in which you are talking about, I guess in laymans terms You could say don't tell me to sweep off my porch when yours is so dirty.

people reading the Bible and misinterpreting it...

Judge not and thou shalt not be judged

people think that means not to judge...

as thou judge.. so shall thou be judged...

people say if you don't want to be judged.. then don't judge...

OK.. we need to judge righteously... do not condemn others for things that we also do...

you need to use your JUDGEMENT... to protect your family from harm... would you move your Christian family into the middle of a town that HATED Christians?... and was known to kill all that lived there?

Its not wrong to see things how they are, but judging is a different thing. We don't know what is in the hearts of others....

the judgement only matters if the person cares.people who blatantly say "don't judge me" are indirectly asking to be judged because they care enough to tell people not to judge them, since they assume that people are judging them.
