I believe to be an example to us. That in life you need to stop an appreciate what you have and what you have done, like enjoying your friends and family

I believe God is ALL powerful. The rest on the seventh day was a message. It said to take time to enjoy what you have done, when you have done good in the name of the Lord. It also says (to use slang) "Check Me out, only took me six days and I got this place HOOKED UP! Now, where'd I put those platypus things again?"
Incidentally, I believe my God has a sense of humor.

I have a question for you. If you acknowledge that God created the universe, than does not that includes human concepts like fatigue and rest? If you believe God is the creator of ALL things than how can you, a creation, question him? The thing about God is that He is unquestionable. A person's belief in Him must be by faith alone.

I dont believe in god. And as to him resting on the seventh day that seems kinda of messed up. when people go to church they have to donate money, IF god is real let him work all day and all night

I believe His rest is not from being tired but finding pleasure and goodness in His creation. The sabbath is a holy day to reflect on all He has made and done for us.

The Sabbath Day was the one day God set apart to be perfect, "good" as it says like the Creation itself. After this, the fall of the angels and the fall of man occurred.

Because HE could.
If you cleaned your room on Monday, took out the trash on Tuesday, walked the dog on Wednesday, cleaned the litter box on Thursday, walked your sibling to Daycare on Friday and Hugged Mom and Dad on Saturday, wouldn't you want the next day off?

GREAT QUESTION!!!
By resting God was setting an example for man, because his work was complete and he was totally satisfied with what he had done. Feel free to email me at valleycenterite@yahoo.com

To sit back and look at His creation? Also, He wanted us to rest on the 7th day because we aren't all powerful, and we get tired.
