Alrighty...chicken farmer to the rescue here to clarify the correct answer for you.
Brown eggs come from many different breeds of chickens. White eggs also come from many varieties. There is no difference in taste. The only real difference is when you can raise your own chickens and have your own eggs. Then the flavor is definitely better. The yolks are deeper yellow and the shells are harder. This all comes from what you feed them.
Someone also mentioned colored eggs. We did have chickens known as the 'Easter egg chicken' That will lay green, blue, pink, and yellow eggs. Each chicken lays a different color. All the same breed though.
Hope this helps.

The only difference is the chicken they come from. But...you should try dying them for Easter eggs. The colors come out deep and intense. And if you notice the brown eggs are not all exactly the same color so if you dyed a dozen eggs the same color each one would be a different hue of the same color. They're very pretty.

There's no difference, both are eggs. Just like there's no difference in human color, we're all the same regardless of being white, black, yellow, or brown.

Different types of chickens lay different colored eggs. We had one chicken on the farm that actually laid blue/green eggs. Rhode Island Reds(those redish brown colored chickens) usually lay brown eggs. Brown eggs are richer or stronger in flavor. In cooking they are good bcz the dark yellow yolks give good color to baked goods and egg noodles.

The chicken they come from. There's also some that lay a greenish gray egg, with a deep yellow yolk. Just a different chicken variety.

Brown eggs are 'country' eggs, they come from a free chicken that is getting a varied diet. White eggs come from 'factory' chickens, referred to in instances as 'corn-feed' egg.
