Since your hair is your crown and glory, I wouldn't ever dye it ... I'd go to a professional and ask them to take whatever corrective measure is required.
If you are bleaching and using blonde, I would only let a professional do it.

Here's the 101 about hair color...
1) hair dyes which color using hydrogen peroxide will strip the color of the hair and let the new color set in... so when your hair color has stayed about 4 weeks... the color will fade and your grey, blonde or whatever hair will appear again.
2) water based hair dyes are powder like dyes, they are cheaper and may be found at just any drug store. this types of hair dye don't strip any color of the hair instead sticks to the hair itself - don't worry! it won't dry your hair... although for the first two weeks the color will be dark... but the color won't fade and even if the previous hair you've colored is at the tip... the color won't become gray or blonde...
Hair is sensitive when it comes to coloring ok? So don't overdo the coloring... hair dye should only be done about 2 to 4 weeks after the latest application. Too frequent dying may cause the hair to become brittle and you may be more prone to split ends, damaged hair... and here - don't let dyed hair be too exposed by the sun especially if you used hydrogen peroxide. Hydrogen peroxide in dyes combined with heat will make your hair as dry as a broom - so really... try using an umbrella to protect your hair.
Here's another tip... use a color-safe shampoo to precent your dyed hair from fading and always use a conditioner afterwards with protein, vitamin B5 and vitamin E - this are the basic components of the hair and they protect your hair from split ends and other damages.
Hope this answers your questions and make your hair more beautiful than ever before! Ü

Never redo a dye job before the seven day period. That is with perms and dyes as well.

Wait a couple of weeks, and use LOTS of conditioner during that time.
If you do it now--you will fry your hair...deep fry it.
