You did the right thing by keeping your mouth shut. After all, how much bread can you buy because he is paying you?
Who cares if it happens again next year? You still have a job.
But if you're concerned, butter your roll right away or don't sit next to the oof.

If you were offended then just let it go for now, But next year do not set by your boss, And as far as the nightmares go If they get worse then talk to someone about this someone you can TRUST, But I know the nightmares will END if you were to Talk with your BOSS about it. And let them know that they offended you. Other wise just let it go. Unless you are leaving something else out here I can not UNDERSTAND Why the Nightmare?

Geez, how old is he? You'd have thought that if he's a left-handed adult he would have figured out which roll and glass were his. What an oblivious nincompoop! :-P Hey, look at it this way, you ate a few less carbs, I'm sure your soup was much healthier than his was, I mean come on, his was probably adulterated with roll crumbs and butter fat. Now he's one roll closer to death! ;) You've got a roll on him!

If there is a wait staff, quietly ask for another.
Or, jokingly reach over your boss and say "Hey, it's sharing night, right?"
Or, buy a book of ettiquette, mark the spot about bread and secretly leave it for boss.
Depends on your level chutzpah

Yes it does sound rather stupid you should have just told him to give you the roll back or you would stick it where the sun dont shine see how he would have liked that hey then he would have definetly have thought twice about doing it next year stand up for your self dont wimper away

you could have asked for another dinner roll but if you did not want to ask for another dinner roll you just deal with it as for next year either sit somewhere else or move the dinner roll so that you can have one my daughter is left handed and we do spacial stuff for her she does not realize what she is doing

Get there early and push the plates together for the bread and his dish....
The problem is that he didn't associate the bread plate with his service. Not a good idea but better than sending him an etiquette book....

Politely say ' Excuse me, would you mind passing the roll and butter on your other side you seem to have taken mine by mistake!'. Don't be afraid to ask.

Jezz, if you are having nightmares over dinner rolls you don't need to worry about next year...you won't be employed a year from now...
