Yes, it will help with the performance. For example if you have Windows XP on your system, it takes 256mb ram just for it to run properly, so the more programs you add to your computer the slower it runs. Also you may want to remove unused program from your computer and other things you dont use, run disk defragment to help repair any flaws. I say a minimum of 512mb is what you need. If you have alot of programs that eat memory you may want to go higher. Hope that helps.

for the most part it is true, but you wont see much of a performance gain after 1GB unless you use extreme resource-intesive applications. it also depends on your system's cpu and components to have a fast computer

more ram the better the comp will be. it also depneds on ur cpu speed.
