You need to find you a new vet. My 11 year old female is a biter as well. They have a little mask/muzzle that they can put on her to calm her down. Find a vet that specializes in treatment of cats and take her there.
To answer your question. Mine does that as well, and my vet didn't see anything unusual.

I have a 22 yr old cat who will growl and bite when she is irritated.
Her vets and her groomers muzzled her at first and now report that she behaves very well. She recently had her blood pressure checked and has gone for 8 acupuncture treatments without problems. After the needles have been in about 20 minutes she does get a little bit shirty (yes, that is an "r", a British expression which I just love).
People in the veterinary and grooming professions who know and respect cats can handle them without incident. It's amazing as my cat won't let me run a comb through her fur or handle her paws.
Find a vet who loves and cares about cats. Certainly tell them the cat is difficult and a biter before going in. If they don't think they can handle it they should tell you.
Senior cats need medical attention, Your cat needs to have her "doctor". Do some research in your area by calling and seeking out one who will take her on.
My cat will scream in the night and it upsets me. She is stone deaf now. Deaf cats have very loud voices!

as quickly as I rescued toddler Sparky from a baseball game the place some young infants have been going to throw her interior the dumpster, she could have been 2 months previous. My 7 year previous blue-pointe Siamese, Mr. Sam, enable her 'nurse' for 2 months because of the fact it calmed and comforted this orphan kitten. And he desperate he exchange into the father. each and every evening i found him curled round her, preserving her. pass over Bigfoot enjoyed her for a pair of weeks and then positioned up together with her. yet Sam exchange right into a proud daddy. I even have pictures of them interior the path of the years. She continually snuggled and laid her head on Mr. Sam. while he handed 10 years in the past, toddler Sparky mourned him and searched the homestead for him each and every evening for 2 years. She ought to no longer have faith he exchange into quite long previous. She looked everywhere and referred to as to him. this would possibly not harm the 'adoptive mommy'. If it bothered her, she could use her massive bunny ft to circulate him away. Bless you and her.

She is talking, and maybe a bit senile. I had a cat who lived to be 22, and as she got older, she got more vocal. She's probably complaining, after all, she's a senior citizen. I wouldn't suggest a sedative, it would probably do her in. Enjoy it, you'll miss it when she's gone. =^. . ^=
