I went shopping today and was standing looking for something on the shelves, and this lady pushes her buggy up, I started to move out of her way and she told me I was fine where I was at and then proceded to push her buggy between me and what I was looking at and stopped it there and left it then went back a few steps to look for something. I couldn't believe her, I just moved her buggy out of my way, continued looking then left.

Yeah,....I was at a store too, and I went to the next isle,
some lady had her cart right in the middle so no
one could pass her. I tried to get by and said"excuse
me", her daughter asked her if she needed anything
else. That rude B***** said out loud," Yes, if I can get
this stupid girl out of my way !!". I couldn't believe she
said it, and she was so hateful. I was thinking, she has
a serious problem.....Plus, she's just lucky I didn't deck
out right then and there !!

Some people have no manners..I find that everyday with people..I'll hold a door open for them--do i get a thank you?? no But that does not stop me from being polite..I guess i think that i do not want to turn into that kind of person,,so i will show courtesy to others i come across..Maybe one day it will rub off on someone and then someone else..etc...

People are not paying attention to the world around them;thay are totally involved in their own little worlds. This woman wasn't paying attention to what you were doing. It was okay to say "Excuse me." and move the buggy out of your way.

I hate to say this but the baby boomer generation brought up by liberal hippy parents have a lot to do with it. "Do your own thing" and no discipline.

Then again from living in Tokyo, Japanese young people are also incredibly rude. So who knows, it may just be bad parenting worldwide.

We all do that just do not realize it like when we are at a red light and no one lets me threw it's not like no one is going any where, so I started to be more understanding being the one who lets people in at at red light letting people with less things ahead of me at a line once people see you paying it forward it catches on pay it forward over and over and who knows maybe someone will pay it forward to you love and peace steffy

well not to be the stick in the mud...but the Bible warned that this would happen. That people would "lose all natural affection and fellow feeling for one another." Just a sign of the times.

There will always be rude people in the world and they have existed since ancient times. But the problem is how we react with their attitude. Defend yourself but don't go to her level and try to forget about it or you will always be mad why? Because there is a a rude dumb person for every inch of the world.
Or one dumb person for every cm3.

Less negative repercussions. Slowly but surely, politeness seeped away because people didn't care to preserve it. Maybe they're too busy to care. A lot of Americans just want "results"...give me my coffee, get out of my way, move your car idiot...its very unpleasant.

yeah I run into a few of those type of people almost every day. I have no idea. I think people are all striving for their own conforts so much these days that common courtesies are a long, forgotten art.

Some--most people think they are better than others..like you are suppose to hold door for them or something...they act like it will kill them to say thanx or even look your way... sometimes i just want to let the door go and smack..right on them.. But then i would feel really bad...cuz I'm not like that and i cannot be mean..I won't lower myself to there standards..I am better than that
