Andrea Yates had 5 or maybe 6 kids (I don't remember which) but either way, she was tried only with the murders of three of them- what of the others?

I'm still in shock I don't care what anyone say's there is no excuse for killing your babies and her ex husband is as guilty as she is to keep putting baby after baby in her and he knew she was off her rocker

I think I heard on Court TV that she could but it would be highly unlikely now that she has been found legally insane.
I really don't think it matters anyway, she is surely already a prisoner of her own mind. I can't imagine what she feels inside, it seems like punishment enough to me.

No - the all the deaths were treated the same - therefore the sentence / acquittals apply to all. Any re-trial would be double jeopardy

I believe it was done in case she was found not guilty, they could try her for the other murders in a separate trial. This would not be double-jeopardy because they are two different cases.

If she has not been tried for them, she could legally be tried for them now. deltaqueen is correct. It is unlikely to happen.
