the best place to officially replace them would be the Air Force. The Army Air Core had became the The USAF in 1947. They would have his records on file. Check with the Air Force Veterans Association they can help.

Contact a military historian and find out which wings you need. Was he in the Army, Air Force, or Army Air Force? He wasn't Navy or Marines was he?
The all have their own separate historians, and each military installation usually has their own also.

that's going to be difficult seeing as you are talking about an award that is no longer in production. your best bet would be to search for forums where people sell WWII artifacts, maybe contact the american legion or the VFW someone there might be able to help you.
