Please remember that the PROPER CUT & STYLYING TOOLS & PRODUCTS are neccessary for great hair everyday. So talk to your stylist about what is appropriate for you and PAY ATTENTION to what they say. It is definatiely worth it to pay professional prices for your haircare; I have never regretted it.
Take a look around at this website. The pics are really great and there are lots of great reviews on tools and products as well as lots of great beauty advice.
Also try this link for tips on de-frizzing your hair... the PROPER way. http://bosshair.com/tips.frizzy-hair.htm

i have that same problem! Luckily, I can help.
If you want a straightener that will last in your hair, the best is a CHI straightener. They are really awsome. They last in your hair until you take a shower. They don't burn your hair at all. They also make products like shampoo, conditioner, shine spray, frizz serum, and heat protectors. They are about $130 but are worth the price!
To control the poof, use Biosilk Silk Therapy. It is a frizz controler that is strongly recomended by hair salons. If you have overly frizzy hair, they make shampoo and conditioner also which really gets rid of that fluff.
Try to grow your hair out. I know it sounds easier than it actually is. There are products that do make your hair longer. I recomend GROW! Hair Formula 37 shampoo and condtioner. They make your hair growth grow faster than its normal growth rate. If you don't feel like paying the price for these expensive products, pick up some vitamins. They really boost up the quality of your hair, skin, and nails.
I hope i helped! Definatly try out my recomended products. They are all professional hair products to they are guarenteed to work better than over the counter products. Good luck!

hello , i have curly hair to . if you want it really strait you should try a flat iron, not one from wal-mart or target . go to sally beauty supplies and get the curlmaster or the helen of troy. and then just go a few days without washing it. ans but some biosilk oil for your frizzies and put it on your hair after you wash while it is still wet. and dont blowdry it that will give you an afro, let it drip dry and then flat iron it.but try not run your hands through it alot because it will make your hair look really greasy ans you dont want that if you are going to not wash your hair for a few days. i usually wash my hair once a week. i hope i was a lil help.

Hey, i know how you feel! my hair is the same exact way! You can get your hair permanately straightened for around 100 dollars...or u could jsut keep straightening it. Or If you want to after you get out of the show u can blow dry ur hair straight, you need a round hair brush and then just turn the hairbrush as u blow dry!

My friend has the same problem and wears it up everyday also. She likes the boyish look and gels her hair down.
Sometimes you need professionals to help your hair. Perhaps you should go see a certified beautician. When your straightening your hair yourself it can get tricky and if you do it wrong or if you hair reacts badly, it will fall out. So its best to go see a pro.
You could also comb out your hair with a pick instead of a brush, that helps a lot. You could look up tips for 'taming your hair'

john frieda's frizzease is great: http://www.johnfrieda.com/products/products_main.asp?section=products&subSection=frizzEase&lineID=4
i too have naturally curly hair and i know what a pain it can be sometimes, you wake up in the morning with this massive knot that is your hair.. been there.. frizz ease is a great product but i've been trying a new product that has come out from herbal essences called totally twisted: http://www.herbalessences.com/us/collections/totally_twisted/index.jsp
it's amazing! i just use the shampoo and conditioner, not even the mousse, and my hair begins to curl beautifully and real curls not just scrunchies, ringlets of curls.. what's best is it costs about 1/2 of what frizz ease costs and you can get a $1 off coupon at their website.. you don't have to spend a fortune to look great!
good luck!

Well, grow it out! You can keep it up until it's long enough to do other things with it. Also, you can try the spray gel. Wash your hair, apply the spray gel to every stand, run it down the entire length of the strand, and then scrunch! It might take awhile, but it'll look great. You just have to find the best solution to dealing with it!

There are many products on the market to help with that. I use a mix of one I found at a salon and one that dove makes. After I wash, towel dry and comb my hair I mix the products in my hands and comb my fingers through my hair. It looks good ALL day no frizz or poof!
