There are direct comparisons to any human culture including America, several different primates, and every hyena pack in existence to the biblical Sodom and Gomorrah.

You'll find like comparisons in segments of almost all cultures. We had our known eras of Free Love, Partner Swapping, the Playboy Mansion, etc...but other countries had their own versions. Some people say Amsterdam has anything you want.

If anything, America has become more conservative. There are less strip joints, less adult book stores, less porn theaters than there were in the 70's and 80's. The Novelty has worn off. We're no worse or better than most countries when it come to sexual expression.
