I`m a blood donor ,I`m on the register for bone marrow and I carry an organ donor card.
I do this because I can and will help someone who needs something I can provide.
I began donating blood to make myself feel better about my shitty life ,the donor card for the same reason.I went on the bone marrow register because a friend contracted Leukaemia - unfortunately I was not a match and he died before we found one.
I urge everyone to do something for someone if only to make yourself feel better about the priviledges you have that another doesn`t..

no. I have this fear, probably unfounded, that the medical people wouldn't work on me quite as hard (to save my life) if they knew that I was an organ donor... My husband, who is a nurse, assures me this is not the case.
I do need to say, however, that I would willingly give a kidney to someone in need, since I can still live with only 1. In fact, my son has only 1 functioning kidney, so I might end up having to do this some day.

I am, and I have it documented on certain forms that I without a doubt want to be in case a family member says not to (even if it's on your Drivers license, if a family member says no, then they cant.)
I've told everyone I know that I want to give as many organs as I can, and that do not want to be resecessitated. I'm going through the process now of making a living will.

Yes I am. I believe it is one way of helping someone in dire need. After I am deceased what do I need the organs for - what reason should they be burned with the rest of me. It may give someone who has been sick a long time or at deaths door a new lease on life.

I have signed my driver's license to donate my organs because when I'm dead I won't need them anymore and there are so many other people who could benefit and live longer healthier lives. It would give families some peace knowing their loved ones death wasn't in vain. I think it's the ultimate gift.

i won't need my organs after i die so someone else might as well have them. when my brother in law's organs were donated, they saved the lives of 4 people and greatly improved the lives of many others. it gives our family some peace knowing that he did not die in vain.

When I die I'm dead.So if the medical profession can use parts of my cadaver to benefit the life of a living person that's great.Further I think when your dead the state should be able to utalise your body as necessary.for the living

I am a Catholic. My religion says that one day I will arise from the dead and be taken up into heaven.
I want to be a whole person in the next world.

Yes. I will be an organ doner. My first husband had a transplanted kidney.

Am. What happens to my body after *I* am gone doesn't matter, but if someone else can use the spare parts and get a better life, it's great.
