im 17 and still a virgin, but im not against losing it in the near future.

the average age that guys lose it nowadays is 15, and the average age girls lose it is 16.

its kinda sad, but o well. i think u should have sex when u love someone, and when u feel ur ready. the average age shouldnt be a factor.

good luck!

Eighteen (18), on my honeymoon.

I don't think age has anything to do with it. Spiritual maturity and MARriage has EVerything to do with it.

Baha'u'llah, the prophet-founder of the Baha'i Faith says the "age of reason" is 15; so that tells me that 15 (IF one has been raised in a spiritual atmosphere, and IS spiritually mature AND IS MARRIED), is young enough to have sex.

Even before the age of 15 the body is capable of procreation; but, the mind isn't ready until the age of 15. By 15 the hormones are raging. What to do? All that energy that wants to be released should be directed to preparing oneself for marriage by studying, maturing, getting ready mentally, physically and spiritually for the most important step of your life. Don't throw your whole life away be having premature sex. You will regret it for a lifetime.

Until the Baha'i Writings, I don't think any of the Holy Books of the past have mentioned age; but, ALL of them established the law of MARRIAGE BEFORE SEX. Marriage, Baha'u'llah says, is a fortress for well-being. A fortress is a strong, secure place. Marriage must be that strong, secure place.

The purpose of marriage is to raise up those who will make mention of God (children). Children must have a safe, secure, strong place in which to be raised up. A fortress for well-being. A marriage.

Also, the Baha'i marriage law is that parents may not choose their children's choice of a mate; but, once that choice has been made by the couple involved, marriage may not take place without the consent of all four (4) living parents--no matter the age of the prospective marriage couple or how many times they may have been divorced, in the past.

Since parents know their children best, they know best who would, or would not, be a good choice for their children. And one doesn't just marry a spouse; they marry the family of the spouse as well. If there is no unity among the families, there will be disunity between the couple.
