Call a local college that has an early childhood program and ask them if you can leave your name and number so any interested students can call you. That way you'll get someone who's studying young children -- you know they'll love your child and have the knowledge to back them up!

I say a partime Nanny. If you have the money to hire and out ads out. I don't live in NYC, but of course you can always google it.
