The Futurist view is further broken down into these categories:

1) Pre-tribulation - Believers will be taken away before they have to endure any Tribulation. (Tell that to those persecuted in other countries.)

2) Mid-Tribulation - Believers are taken away 3.5 years into the Tribulation.

3) Pre-Wrath - Believers are taken away at the Seventh Trumpet, but before the First Bowl.

4) Post-Tribulation - Believers go through the entire Tribulation, some are beheaded in the process, some hide and survive.

Then there are the various eschatological views of the Antichrist:

1) The Pope - always a favorite of anti-Catholic Protestants.

2) The Islaamic Mahadib - always of favorite of anti-Muslim Christians.

3) Prince Charles - See the book "The Antichrist and a Cup of Tea".

4) Jesus - well .... actually more of a false 2nd Coming. This would be "another Jesus", one who came to do away with the law (see Matt 5:17ff), in favor of the change away from the Biblical Holy Days to the celebration of Easter, etc. In short this one would fulfill all the Christian expectations of who Jesus is, and he would be followed when he goes into the Temple and declares himself to be God.

There are 3 views that I know of.

1. preterist - the book of Revelation was fulfilled in the 1st century.

2. futurist - most of Revelation will be fulfilled in the future.

3. historicist - the book of Revelation is being fulfilled throughout history since John's(author of Revelation) time. Makes the most sense.
