Try him in what you wear that way he can see you in them and feel comfortable about it because Daddy wears them!

Do they really make boxers for 4 year olds? briefs. let him decide later what he wants to wear.

I started my son on briefs when he was younger and he eventually switched to boxers, I would try briefs again if I had another boy.

boxers. unless he craps his pants one day and that would be bad to be wearing boxers when that happens. The turds will slide down his leg. With briefs, the turds will stay in there until you discover his little "surprise". LOL

Depends on what you want him to wear as an adult....Boxer wearers are typically more "macho" guys; whereas guys who wear briefs are more apt to be comfortable in their manhood and are not afraid to be sensitive. I'm generally speaking, of course.

Take him shopping with you and let him decide which he would like and then he will have some ownership and an active involvement with his own toileting.
