The best advice I could give is for you to contact a lawyer, that way you will receive all the facts as to your rights, his current guardians rights and Teddy's rights. I have an 11 year old daughter and whereas she may not fully understand all the ins and outs of life the one thing she is capable of is expressing her opinion, she knows what she wants and shes old enough for me to explain and her understand why this is not always possible. I think at 11 Teddy should at least have a say which should be respected by all parties unless of course he is potentially in harms way! I wish you luck but I think you need solid legal advice with this!
