Definately slaves, that's what humans where created for. Humans are not on top of the food chain as they have taught us to believe, we are used much the same way humans use lower animals but on a more sophisticated level behind the scenes these days. We are like assets to them, it's all about business.

We are the children of God first by creation and second by adoption through the work of Christ. We are Gods servants or slaves because we are in charge of His world.

Why would God need or want servants or slaves? Doesn't He already have countless masses of angels who love Him and serve Him?
And why would He create angels to be His servants, in the first place? Surely, He doesn't need any such thing as a servant...
Could it be that He created the angels to serve...His children?
Could it be that this is the reason Satan "rebelled"? Not that He wanted to be above God...except in the eyes of God's children....

We are the children, servants and slaves do not have free will. We can choose to serve God, but the choice is up to us and not imposed by God.

This is one of the major differences between Christianity and Islam. Islam is about submitting to a demanding God. Islam sees that the highest rank they can have is that of God's servant. While Christianity does not deny that we are to be good servants of God, we also acknownledge God's love. Through God's love, he calls us His precious children. We are adopted into his family through his grace. By his grace we are made new creatures, children of God, and this is something far beyond what we deserve, beyond what we can earn.. It is only possible because we have a savior. That what a savior does, and Islam does not have a savior.

Servants are willing and slaves are not. There is the regenerate and the unregenerate all under the same sun that rains on the just and the unjust both.

first thing to realize is that all these relationships or should I say conceptual positions are creation of human beings with each of them denoting specific practice and perceptions that we formulate. At the end of the day the true relationship with god is none of these, instead it is pure relationship of being one.
In human form of our true selves, all of these forms are okay (slave doesn't sound good though) since they are just perception of relationship that we can associate with god. It is not the path that is so important, it is destination that matter. Some of associate with god as father to take care of us, sometime as master to help us. Slave is very negative view and hence it definitly doesn't help one reaching god in that association.

This designation of being "children, servants, slaves" is a self assigned one, not GIVEN by God !
He needs none of this ! He is complete in every way you can think of !
Now , yet, please see logically, if God has chosen to see us as a part of himself, then none of this attributes are any where nearby ! If He (God), does not look at us as a part of himself, then can he be God ?
I prefer to look at it like this, a broader view !
