yea ...savor this time with ur dog because he probly doesnt have much time... Its the same scenario with mine...i grew up with her...you need to take pics, videos and spoil the dog...Pet him a lot.. when he passes you wil want to remember him and pics and videos are perfect reminders...they may put a tear in ur eye but u can remember all the good times youve had...Dont try to make him to active, the walk is enough....just pet him and show him ur affection by petting him and spending as much time as possible with him. You will be happy that you did as much as you could with this dog if you love him enough...I hope he lives a happy life ...

I know how it is with an older dog they love to do things we do, but take for granted .I know my older dogs love to also go riding!
Always a fun idea ! I take mine riding anywhere possible.
Just small things like i take him to my moms and g mas and friends houses , if I take him to see a family member i can. Little things like that excite them! Just being with you, And friends!! They love to associate or just stay at home and wait for you.
But the point is to get him to do things and getting him out the house visiting with other people or dogs might be the only thing
I have 5 dogs
Hope i could help!! Just trying

Their is probably nothing you can do, since he's old. My dog Tex who passed away two years ago would get exicited when we took him places espically the Lake. You can try that and see if that works and if not there isn't anything else you can do.

Fourteen is old for a dog, especially a large breed. You can take him to the vet and see if he needs vitamins. If he is over weight, it isn't helping with stiff joints.

He is an old man and is tired. Lighten up and let him rest. Older dogs have less tolerance for heat and need more rest.

I just lost a dog who was 17.Just like old people, old dogs like to lay and rest. What your dog will love is for you just to pet her/him,rub their ears and give them affection.

Nothing...
He is old and deserves to be lefgt alone if he doesn't feel like doing anything....Sometimes they have ailments just like the senior citizens...
