i just had a horrible experiance, and i don't know if it was a possession or not

The last part of your question may answer the first part.
You said "had" which is past tense. In the first part of your question, you did not say if you were God's child.
May I suggest you carefully read Matthew 12:29.
In Mat. 12 Jesus is rebuking the Pharisees, and at verse 29 He is making a point that may help you too.
Let's say the "strong man's house" is your body, and (if you're Christian) God Himself is the Strong Man. The one wanting to enter the Strong man's house would be the devil. If you are a child of God, you've given your heart to Christ. In the verse, then, the devil would have to overpower God Himself to get to you and then "plunder" (as the verse puts it) your soul.
Which as you know is impossible.
All Christians are at times opressed, but not possessed. Check out 2 Cor. 4:9.

If a person has the Spirit of God living in them, it is impossible for them to be demon possessed!
What does happen to Christians is that satan can place a thought or an idea into their mind but he can never possess their soul! If the Christian choses to listen to this thought or idea, then it becomes another story. This is when a Christian enters into sin! BUT if the Christian is truly sorry God will forgive them for listening to the lies of the enemy!

There have been great debates over that! Whether opressed or possesed, you need to be free of the spirits.. The only way to do that is become a Christian and pray.. If you are still having problems after praying.
1. Investigate your own life to see if you are doing anything that God disapproves of. The Bible is your guide.
2. Get some strong christian friends to come and annoint you with oil and pray for you and cast out any demonic presence..
3. You with your own mouth renounce the kingdom of satan in your own life and proclaim that you are a son or daughter of God through Jesus.
Satan usually has some sin that we are hiding that gives him entrance into our lives.. Look well into your own life..

If Satan wants more souls than God, who would he attack? Non-believers? I think not. He just wants to convert you, also if a christian gets possessed, and doesn't tell the demon to leave, then more and more christians will be easier to possess. Because that possessed christian will lead others to Satan

According to Christian doctrine, yes a Christian can be possessed. Otherwise the rite of Excorcism wouldn't be necessary. Do you think Catholic Priests are flitting all over the globe to help heathens?

No, but Satan can still attack you. You have to rebuke him in Jesus name and he will flee from you. If you're a Christian you have the Holy Spirit inside of you, and you can't become demonically possessed.

Yes, you can be demonically possessed but if you have great Faith in our Heavenly Father you can block the work of Satan.

It sounds suspiciously like what the people in the house letting trade call a vacant possession. In other words, there's nobody home.

No, you can't be possessed, but you can be tormented by their presence. Just use the name of Jesus, and it has to go. Pray and meditate on God, and His presence will over ride the spirit. Don't give the enemy so much attention! Praise the Lord, it cannot stay in the presence of the Spirit of God.
