2 fathers and 2 sons go fishing they were happy each of them caught a fish alltogether there was only 3 fish. None were lost or thrown back. How could this be?

Oldest is the grandfather-his son is the second generation making him the first son and has a boy of his own also making him the second father-third generation is the second son in the question.
