Last known physical place of residence 5, Trowville Road Clapham. In 1939 he enlisted with the R.A.F. and became a Pilot. He went missing in Jakarta in 1942, on the ground - met up with the Japanese invading forces. He married Ethel Maud Hills in 1937. He was brought up in Putney by his Mother and a step Father named Clutterbuck - from that union was born a step Sister Pauline Margaret Clutterbuck 3rd April 1921. Prior to the war he worked as a commercial traveller for Hodder & Stoughton (Book Publishers) of Warwick Square, London.

Sorry to hear it! I am sure you have lots of questions about him. I hate to be the person to say it, but if he met up with the Japenese invading forces on the ground...well its unlikely you'll ever find him or his remains. They took many soldiers that noone ever saw again. What I would do is check his old friends, or co-pilot. Last known sightings and stuff, it is a place to start.
