GOD......WHO????????

First we need to determine which God we are talking about here. Are you referring to the real God, the unconditionally loving God who we are all a part of? This is the one Jesus was talking about when he said the kingdom of God is within you. The one who is our dearest friend and closest companion.

Or are we talking about the angry little judgmental God that lives on some far off cloud called heaven. The one who seems to be more concerned with our errors than he is with our successes? You know the egocentric needy little God that always wants people to worship him. The one who is always unavailable because he is only a fantasy? You need to specify if you want a real answer.

Once I felt a lot like you are feeling now then something happened that made me feel the real Gods presence. I was an atheist then one day I had a sort of a vision of a distant relative that lived over a thousand miles away. I convinced myself that it was just a case on an overactive imagination. Three days later I got a call telling me that he had gone into a coma and died the same day that I felt I had been contacted by him. I can honestly say that this changed my life completely. I felt like God had gone out of his way to help me find my way home. This is why I get angry when people talk about the judgmental God. The love I felt that day made me realize that God would never even think about judging or punishing anyone for any reason.

No, I don't feel pity for them, because I'm one of them. I'm the one going to heaven because I have a relationship with God. The only one you should have pity on is yourself, because you don't know the LORD.

No. Nor do I pity those who don't believe in God. God doesn't care if one believes or not, but loves us all unconditionally anyway. Oh yeah, about that hell thing...doesn't exist. We're all going to the spiritual dimension to be home with God in the end, regardless.

i feel you should pity the pity who do not believe in god. there life is a waste. if they knew who god is and how he died for us, they would not be so stupid. these kind of people walk in darkness all their lives. and honey, let me tell you, we christians are not brain washed, but are true believers.

I actually truly do pity those who do not believe in God... You have no reason for you existance and according to you, you are nothing more than an accident.

From what I know most of the truly educated and scholarly people I know are believers in God. Albert Einstein believed in God... Even Stephen Hawkings believes in God. I could add C.S. Lewis and bunch of brilliant people... Brain washed??? I don't think so.

Yes, I think that is sort of the way I feel, there is also a bit of compassion but mixed with deep disgust that anyone can accept unreason as a basis for anything.

I value truth, the clear bare light of truth and reason, when I shine the light of reason on religion I see no truth only a lot of fog, fantasy and manipulation.

No. I only feel pity for people who can't help the situation they are in.

If you are talking about christians, there is a Big difference between a servant of god. And christianity. I have a hard time believing you have come across the former of the two.

Christians are dead.

And believers are the alienated.
