Communication is a pinnacle part of any relationship.
Knowing how and when to communicate is very important.

Usually, if someone says they need a little space until they are ready to talk, forcing the issue is not a good idea. You can simply say that you understand, and are available to 'listen' when he needs to. Same thing you would want if the situation were reversed.

I can think of two good reasons why someone may not be ready to talk right away. Either because they are afraid that they will say something they will regret out of anger or resentment, or because they are afraid of the reaction from the other person.

If the first, and you push the person to talk, you are partially to blame for the outcome.

If it is the latter, you can build trust in the relationship by not overreacting yourself.

There are a lot of things to know about communication. It's not just saying things back and forth to each other.

Nothing makes a guy straighten up faster than when the girl decides to break up. Suggest that you think the two of you shouldn't be together anymore. If he gets emotional and considerate of your feelings, then keep him. However, if he acts like an ****** and wants to argue about it, just go through with it.

You're time is too valuable to waste on someone with such insecurity issues like that. I know for a fact that you can meet way better guys just about anywhere. The only thing holding you back is a little push I think.

So here's the bottom line. If you're unhappy in the relationship, drop the guy and move on. You'll get over it.

Sorry, but it sounds to me like the typical reaction that guys give when they're guilty of something. He's trying to throw you off - as though he's hurt.

give him space. I ruined a relationship by not giving him the space he wanted.
