if your bands and brackets are stained- a cleaing with your hygienists will help.

the problem with any home remedy or over the counter bleaching system or whitening pastes or mouthrinses are that not only are you possibly lightening the porcelain bracket but you are lightening the enamel on the teeth and when the brackets are removed after your tx is complete- you will have these little dark squares on your teeth and possilbe etched like lines marking where the edge of the brackets were.

Listerine Whitening pre-brush rinse works great. Tastes yucky but unabrasive too.
