if your bands and brackets are stained- a cleaing with your hygienists will help.
the problem with any home remedy or over the counter bleaching system or whitening pastes or mouthrinses are that not only are you possibly lightening the porcelain bracket but you are lightening the enamel on the teeth and when the brackets are removed after your tx is complete- you will have these little dark squares on your teeth and possilbe etched like lines marking where the edge of the brackets were.

No, they don't usually whiten enamel. Doesn't take very lengthy. Make an appointment with a beauty dentist. If you're now not pleased with the outcome...talk with ur orthodontist earlier than you've got the braces eliminated.

Listerine Whitening pre-brush rinse works great. Tastes yucky but unabrasive too.
