I'll give you my personal opinion. Israel is doing the right thing. If Hezbollah kidnapped American soldiers and launched rocket attacks on American soil and the Mexican government refused to do anything about it, the United States response would be much harsher and Mexico would be invaded in a matter of hours. The Lebanese goverment is weak and fragile and we can all see that because Hezbollah controls the souther part of Lebanon and because they have allowed Hezbollah to be a state inside a state, it must pay the consequences. Also, you see all these civilian deaths on tv and it's bad all all but Hezbollah is to blame. They keep rockets, guns, amunition, etc, inside civilian homes and that is why you have all these civilian casualties because these cowards hide among civilians. It's a sad thing but they're at war and we need to implement Resolution 1559 and dissarm Hezbollah for good and it starst by talking to Iran and Syria. I support Israel but it needs to avoid civilians.

You are correct. Perfect logic. The Lebanese must be held responsible for cultivating Hezbollah in their backyard. Harboring terrorists as a national pastime is just as bad as being a terrorist yourself and merits the same punishment.

I think something similar almost happened in Mexico... Back in WW2 the Nazis sent a telegraph toMexico asking for their help in invading America through it's Mexican border... it was intercepted and Mexico didn't want anything to do with Hitler. I was born in Mexico but I just LOVE America... an I must say, most people here are such p*ssies when it comes to terrorism, a sign that it's working on American fears... anyway, the thing with Israel and the middle east is this: they have to deal with "September 11's" on an almost daily basis!!! I know it's not of the same effect, casualty or method wise, but the number of casualties, I bet, amount to the same if not more over the years. I would not think twice, for even a second about using any type of force... however, I do agree that it seems both sides need to keep it as real as possible by avoiding civilians... But if you think about it in their mentality: EVERYONE is a soldier... In Israel all men have to serve the military for 3 years and be on reserve for 25 more... I had a friend from Israel in high school and she said women had to serve also, but I think only 2 years... anyway, that doesn't justify any of it and most if not all civilians are innocent...I'm not sure why most Americans side with Israel and not our President... They're doing the same thing!!! Geesh!!! I guess ever since WW2 you can't get mad at Jews (no offense to anyone of that faith) but it's okay to BLAME and hate Christians... Oh, well... I hope our children learn more to know more, and avoid similar things or end them for good...

First off war is not good for any living thing, then the coflict in the middle east is disproportionate, meaning Israel has all the tchnological weapons and the Lebanese or Palestinians get the SUPPLIES, medical or otherwise , I read and saw a program where the weapons that the Hezbollah uses are brought from the Israelis themselves, go figure. I dont believe the conflict can be solved as long as the United States and England are taking only ONE side of the coin! This is how I see it and armageddon is nearer that we think.

The U.S. faced a similar situation when the North Vietnamese were using Cambodia as a staging area for attacks against South Vietnam. We invaded Cambodia to route the North Vietnamese but unfortunately it met with catastropic results. The war widened to include Cambodia and the poor country was eventually overrun by the Kmer Rouge. One of the worst cases of genocide followed in a reign of terror not seen since the Holocaust. I'm afraid the same thing may happen with Israel's invasion of Lebanon. I support Israel. I know they had to act, but they are facing a tougher and more determined bunch of fighters than they have in their previous wars. These Hamas and Hezbollah types have no reason for their existence apart from war and terrorism. That is why they keep things stirred up so. What makes them so dangerous is their willingness to sacrifice themselves to cause the maximum amount of damage to Israeli lives. This new breed of terrorist is scary. No doubt the suicide bombers are brain-washed. And it has been reported that their families receive $25,000 compensation from the terrorist organizations for their kids sacrifice. Israel really has a daunting challenge this time. I think the only chance they have of winning is total all out warfare. Take it to the arab civilian population. And they need to deal a crushing blow to Syria. Hurt them so bad this time that it will be generations before they are able to recover. Israel can do it now with impunity because there is no longer a Soviet Union to protect Syria. The Syrians and the Iranians are the trouble makers in the area. Behind every evil deadly incident you will find the stench of Syria and/or Iran. Israel needs to hurt them, and do it decisively.

I believe that it all boils down to Israel's right to exist. And that is a theological, political, and historical question. The government of Lebanon, evidently, did not advocate the missile attacks or the kidnappings. Hezbollah was in charge of that. And they hold seats in the Lebanese Parliament?
The problem lies in the Lebanese control (or lack thereof) of it's people. Yes, if a similar incident were to occur here, the response would be quite severe.
I believe that the targeting of innocent civilians on BOTH sides is wrong, and the governments on BOTH sides need to consider the implications of an escalation of hostilities.

Even if your statement is true, the bombing of UN representatives in a building that has for years been used by them, clearly marked Red Cross ambulances and 2 convoys of civilians that did what Israel said and left their village is possibly a little excessive.

The Lebanese government is too weak to deal with Hezbollah, Lebanon had a civil war for many years and has only just had a stable government. If they could get rid of Hizbollah, they would, because they'd rather not have Israel destroy their country.

Most "clear headed" americans would say no but the "clever minded" americans would say Yes! Would war be the only solutions to problems? Then we need WW3 because we have enough weapons to make it possibly the earth a death bed of mongoloids, scar face and fukwits.
Isreal is big time war criminal for what it did to civilians. Watch BBC news for more insightful view on this moronic proxy war. The soldiers are probably dead by now but look around nothing compared to what isreal did.

First of all, how do you think Mexico in involved in this? Yes, there are mexican citizens living there, yes, there is a lebanese community living in Mexico, but the historic problems between Israel and the rest of the mid east area is another thing.

In my opinion, i think this is more Israels faults that anyone, for just arriving there and saying "well, this is the holy land my God promised me, so get the hell out of here". And wether they like or not, that's how the rest of the world look at them.
I don't justify any kind of war, and hopefully that would just end once and for all.
The holocaust was just horrible, and millions of innocent people did not deserve to die like that, but i say they should cut that crap now of 'i'm the victim of the rest of the world' thing that makes them say 'im just defending myself'. They really are taking advantage of that to gain at any cost.

The day that stops, i think things in that area will lighten at least a little.

that's inevitable that the lslamist terrorists in Gaza will quicker or later comprehend that they won't be able to launch rockets into Israel on a daily basis devoid of repercussions. we've myths stated here via the supporters of Islamist terror. till 2005, those comparable human beings used to whine with regard to the "occupation." properly, Israel ended the occupation, and the Gazans basically have been given worse, and now they have began sending rockets in on a daily basis. As continually, the occupation exchange right into a consequence of terrorism, no longer the reason for it. there is no excuse for on a daily basis rocket fire, and that's Gaza who shows no admire and would not take care of Israel the two via failing to correctly known the existence of the only Jewish state interior the international. .

No, they are NOT using excessive force. Iran and Syria have stated over and over and over and over again that they want nothing more than to wipe Israel off the map. Hezbollah is just a robot of Iran and Syria, most of Lebanon support Hezbollah, which makes them accomplices. For Israel its a question of survival, not petty politics that those in other countrys, including ours, want to play because they arent over there themeselves. Israel need to drop one of their nukes that they dont have (wink wink) and wipe their enemy's off the map, rather than the other way around.
