I have a wine fridge but the highest temp it can go to is 53. IS this ok for my reds?

If you lived in an old chateau with no central heating, you keep the wine in the cellar. That is the original room temperature. 53 sounds about right.

no, you want to keep it at room temp. when you put a red wine in the fridge, it breaks down, which causes loss of aroma and taste.

in the fifties is the best for reds - it will help them keep well until 10 years down the road when you want to open it.

according to one of my wine books..the proper temperature is norman cellar 59 degrees...

it quite is greater effective to keep it at room temp than at refrigerator close to freezing. keep the bottles on the facet to maintain the cork moist, and relax them particularly in simple terms in the previous serving.
