ok i cant stand when people say that since i dress preppy and do my hair im gay when im holding hands with my gf. and i dont understand why people call my gf a a fake ,slutty barbie doll.ok first of all just cause she likes to tan, and wears mini skirts, and is thin she gets called that. why?

because most people are jealous and lets face it we all have a little attention whore in us sometimes. Ignore it because you know what I know for a fact that a lot of women like a man that takes care of himself and likes to look good and feel good about himself. That is SEXY!!! The same goes for a woman. You need to do what you need to do so that you feel good about yourself. If dressing preppy and doing your hair makes you feel good than more power to you!!!!!!!! Just tell all the negativity of the world to piss up a rope and suck the wet end. Because in the end your opinions about yourself are the only ones that matter anyways!!! Good Luck!

People have a tendency to judge people by what they see. Girls can look hot without showing off their tooshes with mini-skirts. The tan and skinny part only lead those who are jealous to say rude things. However, when a girl wears mini-skirts people will assume she is trying to show her **** to the world. As for you, people don't expect men to care about their looks unless they are gay. I'm not saying men go out looking cruddy, but many don't dress preppy and worry about their hair. A lot wear jean, t-shirt and a ballcap. They look decent, but not preppy. Being concerned about your looks is a good thing, but people are going to judge you because most men don't behave the way you do. It is called ignorance and it is a disease that is running rampant among society these days. If you are proud enough to look good and proud of your girl, why do you give a damn what we think or worry about what others have to say? Just be proud to be who you are and have a good looking, tan, skinny girl on your arm.

ppl like to hate on ppl and well to tell you the truth "preppy" looking ppl have a really bad reputiation of being "arrogant" which is unkind, unconsiderate, and materialistic. The classic "pretty boy & pretty girl look". A lot of preppy groups like to "show off" what they have and even what they dont have. They are picky when chosing who to talk to or what to eat or wear. MATERIALISTIC. But the good thing is that i dont believe in stereotypes. If you are not like that then they are just hating on you.

First of all, I don't think you're gay to hold hands with her or to dress preppy. My boyfriends have all held hands with me and so has my hubby, and men who dress up simply are neat and organized in general (my father is a perfect example and he is the farthest thing from gay there ever was).
Secondly, regarding your girlfriend, I am like her, and my feeling on that is, if you've got it, flaunt it, baby!! :)

ppl get jealous and i now it sucks when someone calls ur gurl like that and u hate it it's understandable,when they call her that it doesn't make u or her feel good trust me i know i've been called that 2 but the guy i was dating at the time didn't care so i broke up with him cause he didn't do anything about it so i bet your gf is happy 2 know that u care 4 her,but still you should find away 2 make them stop.

Well, I have a friend like you, sometimes people say this about him an he's really just one out of a million guys that actually aren't slopy an care what they look like don't feel bad there just jealous of your good looks as a guy an you havin an ok lookin guy, hope my advice was good

Cause people are jealous and don't have what you have. Honestly, partially jealousey and the fact that you might be different than them. Sometimes people reject what is different and see it as stupid, gay, or however they put it. Its just another way of putting down others to make themselves feel better or superior if that helps.

You both sound like very attractive people... so what do you care what other people say? If you are attracted to each other, that's the main thing. People say stuff like that because they are either jealous, or they don't care for that type of "look." So what? Maybe you don't care for the way they look, either.

First and foremost should'nt madder what other people
think of you or your girlfriend.One reason I think they
call her that is they are jealous that they can't dress like
that.Then again it may offend some people if she is wearing
revealing clothing.I would'nt listen to others though for
any reason be happy with yourself and your girlfriend.

Because people are idiots. Keep in mind that the things people say are really about their issues, the ones in their brains that they have with themselves, they aren't really about you or your gf at all. Who cares what they say as long as you are happy.
