Depends who you ask. If you ask some Americans and all Israelis the answer will be Iran, Syria, Hezbollah, Hamas, the Liberals. But if you ask some other Americans and the rest of the world the finger will point directly at Israel and the US.

History, each time we see a proplem in any country which brings military action we can see that it is down to what has happened in the past and a new dictator, govement etc sets out to destroy what they belive to be the cause, normally it is relgion but the sad fact remains that something which has happened in the past is used to start another war, just look at bosnia, rowanda, Iran, Iraq, Africa, Northern Irland. The UN US are trying to help but as in most cases the very people they try to help they then become targets and I think it's only fair that they should be able to defend themselfs

If you say its Iran then your brain washed by Bush and if you say its Hezbollah then your also brainwashed by Bush when Bush should be saying he wants a seise fire instead of just letting it carry on anyway since when was the world run by Bush why are we all waiting for him to make a descision on what should happen all the countries should cause a seise fire other wise the whole world could become involved in war and lets remember their are only losers in war no winners just innocent people losing their lives like little pawns in a political game of chess so the people should not stand for it and call for peace.

I think Hezbollah was ill-advised to capture those two Israeli soldiers but the response from Israel has been totally excessive and not in "self defence" as it claims. How can the bombing of road, power stations and homes in Northern Lebanon be in self defence against Hezbollah fighters in the South. Ridiculous.
And the worst part is that the US and UK have refused to condemn this as excessive. They feel it is legitimate, we need to realise that Israel has failed to adhere to the Geneva convention and has deliberately targetted civilian and neutral targets.
I think everyone is responsible in different ways.

The international community has a lot to answer for. Since 1967 they have failed to act on unlawful occupation of Palestinian land by Israel. For so many countries who are intent on bring democracy (what ever that is) to the whole of the world it seems ironic that the international democratic organisations, namely the UN, seems to have little backbone or power in these situations.

Hezbollah entered Israel's territory, captured two soldiers, and fired rockets at Israel. All the other parties you mentioned just reacted to Hezbollah's actions. The other parties might not be handling the situation correctly, but the problem started with Hezbollah.

Here is the truth - EVERYONE IS TO BLAME.
Why?
Because civilizations rise and fall. Its been that way since the dawn of time.
This is the nature of being human.
What we are seeing now is the same thing we have been seeing since day one.
The only difference is the size of our weapons, and the ability to travel farther and send information much faster.
Believe that.
