Learn to be more tolerant of the ignorant. And only you can allow someone to hurt your feelings, so don't do it.

Then I'm sure most people would be apologetic but some people's curiosity will lead them to ask questions just because they want to know and they probably never meant to hurt anyones feelings in the process, however, there are those that say spiteful things in a deliberate attempt to hurt, anger and get a reaction. They will never be apologetic even if they don't really believe what they are asking or saying but that's just people, some are smarter than others!

Why should a racist question hurt your feelings? Does it make you sad that people can be so hateful? Are you sad for them or sad for yourself?
Don't allow your feelings to be manipulated by weak-minded fools. Don't allow them to cause hatred inside you either. Love your enemies. Do good to them who spitefully use you and persecute you. The only way to defeat racism is to love all men. Even the ugly, mean, and evil men. Love them as a brother or sister even though they mistreat you.

I always click the "report abuse" button when I see a racial slur. But I've always wondered why it is only some minorities that get their feelings hurt by racism. I can't imagine anybody saying anything about my race that I would take seriously. I know I am an individual. Remarks that refer to everybody with the same skin color as me seem a little bit too generalized to really be relevant to me as an undividual.

Because your last question was race-specific. NEVER be race specific about anything, because it makes you look like the racist. Here's a little loophole: I hate everybody equally. That way, no one can accuse me of favouring one race over another because I think the human race should be extinct from our own stupidity.

Hi Tamara B
All I can say is I'm sorry that people can't see the truth that we are all brothers and sisters. These things hurt me also.
Many of these people seem to have a funny idea about what Jesus taught us about love.
Love and blessings to you and yours.

I would say it's great that you are putting it like that instead of trying to stoop to the level of the immature people that enjoy hurting others feelings. They PRETEND their feelings never get hurt, but everyones' feelings get hurt sometimes.

I can't apologize for those who wrote racist things, but I make it a point to call them on it when ever I come across it.

haven't seen too many racists q's on here, except for that one KKK guy (forgot his screenname). Either way, if your feelings are hurt, its sad that idiots cant seem to figure out that racism is stupid. But they can't figure out much of anything in this YA section.
